A Memorable Stay at Bad Ragaz Resort.
Our recent stay at Bad Ragaz Resort in Switzerland was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived until the moment we reluctantly departed, every aspect of our experience exceeded expectations.
Accommodation: The resort's lush gardens and breathtaking views set the stage for a truly remarkable stay. Our room was impeccably clean, spacious, and beautifully appointed, providing a serene retreat after days filled with exploration and relaxation.
Service: The standout feature of our stay was undoubtedly the exceptional service provided by the staff. Claudia, from the pool area, and Marcel, at breakfast, not only served us delicious meals but also shared invaluable local ski knowledge, enriching our experience. Lucia, at Sven restaurant, and Sophie, at Namuna restaurant, provided attentive and friendly service, making our dining experiences truly delightful. Laura at the reception was incredibly helpful, ensuring that all our needs were met with efficiency and warmth. Markus, in the concierge, went above and beyond to assist us in booking last-minute ski activities and even ensured we made it to the train station on time with a thrilling ride in the electric Mercedes jeep.
Activities: Our time at Bad Ragaz Resort was filled with relaxation and adventure. We indulged in a rejuvenating couples massage, soaked in the therapeutic thermal pool water, and explored the surrounding area, all while marveling at the stunning natural beauty of the Swiss landscape.
Overall Experience: As first-time visitors to Bad Ragaz Resort, we were thoroughly impressed and enchanted by every aspect of our stay. The combination of luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and stunning surroundings left us longing to return. Our stay was truly unforgettable, and we cannot wait to visit again.
Final Thoughts: We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff at Bad Ragaz Resort for their hospitality and dedication to ensuring that our stay was nothing short of perfection. From Belfast, Ireland, Dennis and...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed for our third visit to this hotel on the 23rd and 24th of May - we enjoyed our previous two visits immensely. The reason for this poor review is as follows. |When my wife was paying our bill on departure, she noticed that a charge of 432 CHF had been added to our room's account for use of the hotel's driving range. My wife pointed out that neither of us plays golf and had not used this facility. The disputed amount was deducted from our account, and my wife paid the bill. Or, so she thought.|On returning home, we checked our Amex card account only to find out that we had been billed twice for our two night stay. How this occurred I haven't a clue as my wife only entered her pin number once when settling our account. My wife contacted the hotel immediately to point out this error. However, the response from the hotel was not as we would have expected. It was verging on treating the error with disbelief. We emailed the hotel with copies of our paid room account and the duplicate payment on our Amex statement as was requested during my wife's telephone call. This did not elicit the response I would have expected from the hotel management. Despite contacting them twice ( the first email attachments would not open, but the hotel did not inform us of this problem ) therefore we had to get back in touch six days later to be told to re-send the attachments in a different format, which we duly did.|I can only commend the Amex team for their excellent response to this issue. Reporting the disputed payments on live chat took all of three minutes, and it was done and dusted. The payment was suspended from our account pending Amex contacting the hotel. The credit has now been posted to our account.|I accept that mistakes can occur, but this has tarnished our view of...
Read moreOne of the finest hotels in Switzerland, for many reasons. The hotel is situated in hilly St. Gallen landscape and in the Bad Ragaz municipality. Their Spa and wellness are known across Europe. For water lovers the perfect retreat place. You can choose among many different pools, the magnificent historical Helena bath, the sport pool (which we really were glad to use and get back on our daily 1.5 km), the Garden pool (just opened on our second day of our stay) and of course the luminous Tamina spa with over 6 indoor and outdoor pools, which I personally loved. The thermal water was just such a treat for mind, body and soul. The room was lovely and we slept well (perhaps a selection of pillows would be welcome as ours were a bit too soft for our standards). We had a sumptuous breakfast at Verve every morning, the concept is half self serving at the “marketplace” where a selection of breads, croissants, fruits, pickled veggies, cheese, salmon, cereals of all sort and fresh fruit juices awaits you and the other half is based on à la carte dishes (we loved the poached egg, tofu spreading, tomato chutney and micro greens toast). If you have intolerances or allergies, they will provide everything necessary upon request. We enjoyed a pre dinner drink at Verve in the cozy lobby area. During our stay we enjoyed also dinner once in the Thai inspired Namun and once in the two Michelin stars awarded Memories by Sven Wassmer restaurant (separately reviewed). At all time the staff was irreproachable and made our stay a wonderful moment. We are looking forward to...
