This hotel is actually really bad. I’ll start from the beginning - there’s an airport shuttle that supposedly runs every half hour. We missed the 4:20pm shuttle by 10 minutes so we were waiting for the 4:50 shuttle. The 4:50 shuttle never came. We tried to call the hotel multiple times and no one ever answered. Finally, at 5:20, the shuttle arrived after we stood around waiting for it for nearly an hour. Once we arrived I confirmed the hotel phone number with the front desk staff to ensure I was calling the right number. He confirmed that I was and then I let him know we waited for the shuttle for nearly an hour before anyone came and that I tried to call the number I multiple times and no one ever answered. He didn’t apologize, offer an explanation, or offer a solution. I paid extra for a “superior king room with a view.” If you’re considering this, don’t bother. My scenic view was of the McDonald’s parking lot and a field IF I could open the metal shutters on the window - which I couldn’t. So the “view” was literally just metal shutters and McDonalds drive through noise. The hotel is much farther from the airport than you’d think and not nearly as convenient. Additionally, the shuttle is only free FROM the airport. You have to pay 10CHF per person to ride it back to the hotel, which kind of defeats the purpose of an airport shuttle. Finally, the bed itself had no dressing on the frame and the sheets were heavily pilled. It looks like they removed the frame and just left a box-spring type of situation. There was also a hair in the bed so that’s disgusting. The cleaning staff left the shower head pointing outside the door of the shower, so when I turned it on from the outside, not considering that the head would be pointing anywhere but down, I got sprayed all over my clothes and on the floor. This is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. After I called the front desk confirming I actually got the room I booked once I discovered my lovely view of the McDonalds parking lot and metal shutters and they thought the situation was totally normal, I stopped seeking help from the staff and accepted my fate in this dump. I’m upset I booked this hotel and not the Radisson Blu. The pictures of the hotel are deceptive. There’s a McDonald’s and McDonald’s drive through literally attached to the hotel and they leave that out of the images because it looks tacky. “Views” are of parking lots if you can view them at all and your shutters are working. The rooms are tiny. The customer service is lacking. Over all, just not good. If you’re booking for convenience and quality, just book at the radisson blu at the airport and save yourself the headache of dealing with this place. The only reason I didn’t give this one star is because I haven’t encountered mold yet but I’m still here so who knows what the next few hours before our flight out will hold.

Located Very Near To The Zurich Airport but missing 4star amenities and services The hotel is located very near the Zurich Airport. They provide free airport shuttle service from the airport to the hotel and charge 3 CHF per person from hotel to airport for the shuttle service. Do book in advance for your seat at the reception or else you may not get one. We booked ours while checking in. Check in was smooth and the Lady who checked us in was friendly and volunteered to not only guide us to the Rümlang train station but also provided us the train timetable. She also helped us with information and a map to facilitate us to reach the place we were looking to go. The Rümlang Station is less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel. From there you can reach pretty much any part of Zurich by taking a train. Trains are frequent and all the information on which train to take can be googled and found easily. It was disappointing that a hotel rated 4 star did not have a bell desk and there is no mention of this on their website. It is agonizing when you are traveling with a number of heavy suitcases and have just landed after a long haul night flight, that there is no one to handle your luggage. Well if you are aware of it then it is one thing, for us we were completely taken up by surprise. If this is a policy of the Hotel, fine, just be kind enough to mention it on your website. It will help people to book based on what they are looking for. They do not have room service. They do not provide any complimentary drinking bottle of water in the room. You can buy a bottle of water downstairs from the refrigerator at the reception. Their was provision to make tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room. The room had a very comfortable large bed. The shower cubicle although a little cramped had a very nice shower. The room was clean and quiet. The housekeeping department was nice and did attend to our needs despite not being very fluent in English. They provide free wifi for any number of devices. There are a couple of restaurants which we did not get a chance to check out. There is also a MacDonald’s in the same building taking care of your hunger pangs. I will not recommend this hotel if you are staying for long in Zurich, planning to explore the city, traveling with a lot of luggage. But if you are in transit, traveling light, looking for competitive rates, a hotel located near to the Zurich Airport, then this hotel should tick most of your boxes.

Glows: Room was clean, McCafe in the building which has decent operating hours. Front desk was competent and professional. Hotel is easily accessible by Post Bus 510 from Bus Port N at Zurich Airport (located at the covered bus stops near The Circle). It is priced well for the city. Grows: Restaurant was shut down at the time, and they offered overpriced junk food in the lobby. Shuttle is available—at a cost. Driver was late. There is no ventilation in the WC in the hotel room, so good luck to the second person going in to take care of business (IJS). Also, the way the shower is set up (one must disrobe in full view of other occupants of the room before entering it) is quite awkward. Complimentary bottles of water in the room—but no bottle opener. Literally, what is going on? Morning shuttle (again, at a cost of 6 CHF) leaves hotel and goes in the opposite direction of the airport to pick up passengers from another hotel, so do NOT forget to factor in the extra time that takes. Also, the term “airport” in the name is misleading. It’s a full 15-minute ride to the side of the airport where passengers must alight from the shuttle. It is NOT at the airport like the Radisson BLU. 3/5 Stars. Could easily be much better: include bottle openers, install ventilators in the WC, offer complimentary professional shuttle service like other decent hotels, and offer complimentary snacks when your restaurant is shut down. You make lose a buck or two, but you’ll gain loyal customers who will come back again and again!

I would not recommend this hotel. I stayed here last week with my husband for the convenience of being close to the airport. When we arrived they gave us a room where the lights did not work, they quickly fixed the issue and gave us another room. Next room the TV did not work and the walls were really dirty. For the trouble we were given breakfast coupons. Next morning little before 8am loud drilling could be heard throughout our floor as apparently they were renovating rooms. We were not told this and they said they would have it stopped. It persisted and called again they then said nothing could be done. Now back to yesterday. We checked in again as we’re flying back to Germany. We checked in and we got a renovated room, things seems ok besides lacking a few in room amenities which they delivered to our room. We ordered room service (which we picked up), from the menu our pizza was supposed to be 20 CHF we were charged 25 CHF however. We ask at check-in will we have issues with construction again, the lady at the desk assures us, construction will start in the afternoon and not disturb our morning. However... 8:30am and drilling and hammering starts. We call and we just get an apology, free breakfast coupons again are to cover this inconvenience. If you are a regular guest breakfast if you book at the desk the night before will run you 20 CHF or if you just walk down it’s 25 CHF. I wish I could exaggerate how poor the quality of breakfast was. Most items were cold the only thing I was able to enjoy was cereal, and toast and the bread was stale. I would nit recommend not stay her again. If you’re trying to save a little and get something close to the airport it might be worth splurging on something nicer so you don’t have a headache of...
