Albana Hotel — Hotel in Silvaplana

We stayed for four nights in the Lodge which is a building next door but one to the hotel. The Lodge room we had was spacious and even had a small balcony so was good value for the price. There was also covered parking in the basement but we did not find out about it before leaving (it was our receptionist's first week). ||||The hotel itself was cosy but being in the Lodge we felt remote from its facilities (e.g. bar and spa) - but well the room was large and good value so compromise was met.||||Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a good buffet but failed the scrambled eggs test (yes rubbery) but otherwise good choices. On sunny mornings we took our coffee outside on the terrace which was lovely.||||Note this is a dog friendly hotel.||||Meals there were pricey as were drinks so we sought better value elsewhere.||||The biggest downside was that the village centre next door was a massive building site as they redo the whole square. So it was difficult to get about and very noisy locally. This was not the fault of the hotel but is a massive detraction for Silvaplana in...

We had a wonderful stay here on our trip to Engadin. We stayed here in October and we felt very welcomed from the time we stepped in to check in. We were offered a welcome appletiser drink courtesy of the hotel, simply delicious. Our room had the most beautiful and magical views of the mountains and waking up to that in the morning was simply spectacular and truly memorable. The breakfast buffet was very substantial and the selection of cheeses was simply my highlight, as I love cheese!

We stayed for 2 nights as a young family with a 1 year old baby. From the very first minute, we were attended with friendliness. All the staff at the restaurant are very warm and kind, comfortable stay, clean room and delicious food. It’s somewhat a tastefully furnished boutique hotel with a bakery and small supermarket within 2 minutes walk. Super convenient! We had an enjoyable stay and are already speaking of returning next summer! 🙂 if there’s one thing that I’d commented on is the pillow..wish it’s a firmer and has better support but that’s really subjective and does not affect my 5* review on this property....
