I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hsinchu Episode hotel, I was greeted by a cozy and inviting atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a relaxed stay.
The hotel's lounge area was the epitome of tranquility. With its comfortable seating and soothing ambiance, it provided the perfect respite after a long day of exploring the city. I found myself gravitating towards this space several times during my stay, whether it was to catch up on work, read a book, or simply unwind with a cup of coffee.
One of the standout features of this hotel is undoubtedly its tall ceiling rooms. The generous amount of space created an air of grandeur and sophistication, making me feel like I was staying at a high-class establishment. The design of these rooms was impeccable, combining elegance with modern touches to create a truly pleasant environment. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail and the thought put into the overall aesthetic.
The hotel seemingly caters to the business traveler, offering a seamless blend of features that provide convenience and comfort. Whether it was the well-equipped work desk in my room or the reliable Wi-Fi connection throughout the property, this hotel checked all the boxes for a productive and hassle-free stay. It's the kind of place that caters to the needs of professionals, ensuring that their stay is optimized for success.
While this hotel ticks many boxes for a wonderful stay, I will mention that it may not be the most suitable choice for families traveling with young children. The ambiance and vibe seemed more tailored towards adults and business clientele, which may not align with the preferences of families seeking a more kid-friendly atmosphere. However, for those seeking a quiet and sophisticated environment, this hotel is an absolute gem.
In conclusion, my stay at this hotel was an absolute delight. With its relaxed lounge, tall ceiling rooms, and overall atmosphere, it truly felt like a luxurious business hotel. I greatly appreciated its attention to detail, convenient amenities, and graceful design. If you're in search of a sophisticated retreat or a convenient base for your business travels, I highly recommend considering this hotel. Oh you will need a car...
Read moreThis hotel was re-branded and became a sub-brand of the Hyatt system, but the service is not as good as other Hyatt hotels. It's located by the boundary of hsinchu city where only convenient to people who drive.
The training of staff is behind the hotel's transformation. The staff seem unfamiliar with handling Hyatt membership. No upgrade nor early check-in provided to Hyatt members. Staff also lack experience handling busy situations. For example, chips were not refilled during the happy hour, and there were only crumbs left if went there late; there was no tissue in the 1st floor bathroom at the end of day; food, cups and utensils in the cafe were not refilled promptly during breakfast time.
There are 4 selections on breakfast menu, but only American breakfast set has a reasonable portion, others are sad.
Housekeeping needs much improvement. Ex: there was a tooth stick from the previous customer left on the TV stand when we just got the room. A mask from the previous user was left on the treadmill.
Although the room looks fancy and nice, it doesn't function as nice as it looks. Ex: It takes time for the hot water running, once get hot water running, it's tricky to get the right temperature; the shower door doesn't seal properly so it leaks out when you shower; the heater didn't heat up at all, we had to call to fix it.
The amenities need some thoughtfulness as well. For example, the kettle is provided in the room but no tea bags. We had to go to the lounge on the 1st floor to get them before 930pm; the gym is nice, but neither TV nor the screen on the machines work. Other minor unmatched in-room designs and amenities such as the faucet is 2 holes faucet, non single pack shower-shampoo sets are used in room and housekeeping refill them every 2 days.
Although currently the quality is behind other Hyatt hotels, I think it can...
Read moreWhat a lovely hotel!, The lobby is modern, and the front desk staff are very helpful. The lobby bar is not used very much, probably due to placement. On the one side, there is a large open area that serves as a social space (very nice), or breakfast area in the morning. Further to the one side is a very nice formal eating area for Dinner. The menu seems varied, I had the pizza ( bland sauce, but nice dough). The rooms are nicely appointed, the bedding is beautiful, and a nice large shower with a rain head. All in all, a very nice hotel. Two small issues with the hotel, 1) some hallway noise can be heard in the room (not a lot), 2) hotel location is not very close to stores/shops (however only 300 NTD Uber from downtown). I strongly recommend this hotel as a strong 4.5 star hotel, with great pricing, and amazing service . ( Update: I was pleasantly suprised when Benson introduced himself to me as I walked through the hotel lobby. Benson was friendly, courteous, and we spoke about my observations. It was clear to me that Benson is passionate about ensuing people have a great experience during their stay.) . (Personal Stay: Hsinchu is a lovely area to visit, so I decided to take a few days vacation, and extend my stay at Hotel Episode). Tonight, I decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. I had the Caesar Salad, (Yum), Sourdough Bread (Very Nice), and the Beef Short Ribs (Amazing!). Big shout out to the girls at the bar for the mixed drinks!. Yet again the serving staff really work as a team to make...
