Bay House Comfort Hualien Hostel — Hotel in Hualien City

I never bothered writing a review for any accomodation. That's how good this place is.||Location was super convenient, I was visiting Taroko Gorge so I valued the proximity to the train/bus station. It's also quite near to the start of the town's main street.||The dorm room was nice, it had everything I needed and the bed was comfortable. In the common area there's free coffee/tea (24h) and toast in the morning. ||The vibe of the place is remarkable, it's very relaxed and welcoming. They have a second-hand charity section and they also seem to be very eco-friendly, caring about recycling, etc. ||The real stars of the show were the staff members. They made me feel welcome and they helped me with everything I needed. They gave me great tips on what to do and eat in Hualien, and we also shared great conversations! I am really thankful for their kindness.||I'm glad I chose this place, I'm definitely going back to Hualien in the future and I'll 100% choose this...

It's about 10 mins walk from the train station, which makes it very easy to arrive or head to your next destination. Amenities wise, this has got to be the best dormitory I have stayed in Taiwan so far. Spacious room for 6, there is a place for table, and for large bags. Instead of a double decker bed, each bed is a built in feature so that the top occupant doesn't quite disturb the bottom occupant. Each bed comes with a privacy curtain, and has this small hole in the wall which includes international plug, and to store your small items when you sleep. Of course a lamp is included. What I like is the friendliness of the staff here. They make it feel that you are a Friend visiting and keen to have you again. I left quite hurriedly but I wished I could have stayed longer and have a chat with them. Definitely worth staying here again when I return...
