Everything was delicious and the staff was pleasant. Beef cocotte was on the small side but very enjoyable (320). It came with rice, a small salad, a hot bowl of soup, and one piece of bread. I do miss the unlimited bread and wine that could be had with this dish if this were Brittany, but nonetheless I'm thrilled this level of French cooking can be found here in Hualien. The galette-saucisse was also delicious, with the perfect amount of flavorful cheese (280). This came with a drink that can be changed to coffee with a minor add on fee, so that went very well with a sweet Nutella crepe with chocolate ice cream (120). Owner super nice. Cash only....

It’s a 7-minute walk from Hualien train station so that’s a plus.
