This is our honest review of the hotel. I would like to start with saying that the staff were very welcoming and helpful to us. They even called us after our stay to check in after our review to see what they could improve on and we want to thank the staff there for that, it was a very thoughtful gesture and it made us feel heard.

We enjoyed the human interaction with the staff and all who were working here, again, no issues with them and I would rate them highly. However, we had issues with the hotel, location and experience itself, not the staff, see the review below for our experience.

We weren't very happy with out stay at all, location, cleanliness, scenery and entire vibe of the area wasn't something I would recommend.

Location isnt very good at all, if you're wanting to stay more than one night, there isn't much to do here unless you're planning to do lots of shopping and spend time at the park. Getting into town is an hour away by bus with limited scheduled bus time (about 1-1.5hr wait in between). Only convenience is close proximity to the mall and theme park but wouldn't recommend staying here for that. When we were trying to leave, the bus out of E-DA was missing, so we had to wait an extra hour at the bus station.

The view driving in for the first time wasn't very appealing with the abandoned half-build hotels and unwashed building walls, but the view from outside the window in our room was very depressing, directly looking the scenery of unbuilt abandoned hotels and gave an uneasy feeling as soon as we entered the room.

The hallways hotel had some old, dirty carpet and peeling wallpaper, and the wallpaper in our room had some peeling next to the bed.

We had a bath in the bathtub and the morning after my partner had a UTI, were thinking that maybe the bath wasn't clean resulting in that infection. The TV was old with limited channels, and the cable tv box was unplugged, I had to plug in the receiver cable to get it working.

We stayed from Wednesday till Friday but the whole time we were there the most of the stores in market weren't open so there wasn't really much to see or do especially during night time. dont really recommend coming here unfortunately, and if you were still, would recommend only one night, perhaps visiting the theme park in the day, mall at night, and Fo Guang Shan the morning after, we felt a bit stuck here...

The hotel itself is quite far away from the city as compared to how convenient linked Kaohsiung is. We stayed two nights there as we wanted to let the kids have a great time in their HAPA theme rooms. ||The taxi ride from city to the hotel was around 30 minutes or so and the hotel is located right by the huge outlet mall with lots of restaurants. Also walking distance to the theme park. ||The room itself is quite dated and you feel that the hotel is making a comeback with the theme rooms. Honestly it's not cheap to stay one night at the theme rooms. For the price I paid, you would hope that the rooms are nicer. However it is clean. ||For the two nights, we stayed at two different theme rooms (puzzle and kitchen). Would highly recommend you double check and reserve the room you want way in advance as it is not possible to change due to high occupancy. ||I also appreciate their ways of getting kids to clean up 30 minutes before checkout time and have guides provided to let parents/kids know where the toys should be returned to in the room. One thing I would recommend is to take photos of all the toys BEFORE the kids dig in cause it really helped when cleaning up. Especially when toys on the guide were not there to begin with! Once the kids clean up, there is a little gift for them upon check out which is an extra touch. ||Breakfast was a big buffet with lots of varieties and children friendly. There are also indoor and outdoor play areas which is free of charge for staying guests. ||Overall, without kids, I don't think I will stay there. But with kids, it's a great choice because it is a...

The place was fine. I ended up here because I traveled by scooter and the weather turned rainy and cold. The place was clean and the people friendly. The place tried to be very "representative" with marble and chandeliers. My room was recently renovated with more modern false wood floor and furniture. It was clean (unless you looked in crannies and corners). The place had a lot of tour bus guests. The breakfast was a big buffet but many items were bland. I did like the yogurt and Nescafé. I paid about US$98 for the night. It turns out I could have stayed for US$ 106 in the neighboring Even higher class Royal Eda Hotel. But not sure I would have enjoyed it $8 worth more.

Very bad experience in their dinner, we had a pot with a fault gas stove that keeps all foods raw hours. Witers did nothing because the other stoves were broken, too. Finally, we had to use dinner plates as wind shelters and kept heat to make food to be eatable. But, all food losen their favors after hours reheat ...really a disaster.
