Sheng Shine Forest Resort — Hotel in Lugu Township

This is honestly one of the best value for money hotels when visiting xitou forest! Its also a very affordable/ budget friendly hotel. They include breakfast, within walking distance to xitou forest, clean your room routinely, make traditional oolaong tea in the lobby ( just request beforehand) and the the owners of this hotel are extremely kind. The owners are husband and wife and they are very considerate. As long as you call or ask them beforehand, they will also offer to drive and drop you off to nearby places. This was all included in the original hotel payment. They picked me up at the bus station to the hotel, dropped me off at xitou bus station, and dropped me off at a restaurant 1km away. They are also experts in all the nearby forests. They strongly recommended going to Sun Link Sea forest which was a blast! I thought it was even better than xitou forest. In addition, if you have any trouble with transportation (especially long distance), like riding the bus from xitou bus station to Taichung, they will help you personally and know how to reserve bus tickets (just ask a them for help)! The owner also allows you to make hotel reservations through the LINE app. Just pay once you arrive at the hotel. P.S. Breakfast was great! They give you a Chinese/English menu. You order what you would like and they cook it immediately and serve it to you. I recommend the milk toast...

Boutique roadside motel with amazing service

Rooms: (2/5) the rooms are very clean but are extremely dated. The rooms and bathrooms feature decor from a couple decades ago. Other than the rooms at the back of the hotel, the windows don’t have any view and open to the interior of the hotel. The beds themselves aren’t super comfy (not enough support) accompanied by oversized blankets. The bathrooms don’t have closed showers, and feature cheap faucets and toilets.

Service: (5/5) the innkeepers (husband and wife duo) provided one of the most hospitable experiences I have ever had. They provided a very warm check-in experience, provided amazing tea and refreshments, and allowed us flexibility in parking.

Facilities: (2/5): Sheng Shine offers (free) freshly prepared breakfast and two electric chargers but doesn’t offer any other amenities. There isn’t an elevator, exercise room, or pool.

Location: (5/5) Sheng Shine is a perfect location for those looking to visit Xitou and Yao Gui Village. The hotel is within a short walking distance to both!

Value: (3.5/5) the hard product offered is not great but the whole package is very competitive, especially for the area. I’d say Sheng Shine provides...

6/216/23和家人到溪頭玩，入住盛軒兩晚，我們住的是新館二樓的房間，裡頭的裝潢是現代工業風的設計，看得出老闆老闆娘下重本的用心，一進房就有除濕機除溼，非常的貼心。我媽媽是個會認床的人，每次出去玩都睡不好，但睡在盛軒的兩晚都睡得很好，床跟枕頭睡起來很舒服、棉被也很暖和，真的很讚！浴室是乾濕分離的，浴室空間很大，晚上洗澡還有很舒服的熱水能沖澡，水量大而且熱水很快就出來。盛軒提供的早餐是樓下現點現做，而且吃不飽還能再點，對於早餐食量大的人真是福音阿重點是鮮奶茶很好喝，是真的鮮奶與現煮的紅茶做的，非常推薦！早上需要喝咖啡的人，盛軒的咖啡也是早上現煮的，品質也不錯！早餐還是老闆娘跟店內的人一起準備的，吃得放心又開心！盛軒是個非常用心經營的民宿，入住前老闆還會先開預訂的房間先讓客人看過後，讓客人確認房間再讓客人入住，老闆還會泡自家的高山茶陪你在樓下大廳喝茶聊天，讓你很有家的感覺！盛軒距離妖怪村只有300公尺，可以用步行的方式到達，如果要去溪頭森林遊樂區距離第一大門口走路也才10分鐘，真的很方便。盛軒也有提供停車位，所以就不用擔心找不到路邊停車！在盛軒入住的三天兩夜真的是個很棒的體驗！ For visitors from all over the world, I strongly recommend you guys to visit this B&B.
