Rungwe Palace Hotel — Hotel in Dar es-Salaam

This hotel is situated in Kariakoo in Dar es salaam. The baton though it was a double room hroom in my bedroom was very poor since the shower was very poor and there was no shower curtain. The hotel only supplied one towel even though it was a double room with two guests sharing the room. ||When there was a power cut the generator did not work and it took ALL day to get the generator to work. The hotel gave so many excuses for the generator not working. The hotel management was not interested in offering any compensation for the poor service.||The hotel does not accept debit or credit cards! That is unacceptable in this day and age. The breakfast was very poor as were all the meals. I strongly recommend that potential customers do not consider staying...

The hotel is lobby is appealing and deceiving as to what you experience in the room. The rooms are not up to standard and the bathroom is even worse, I ended up showering with my flip-flops on all the time in for hygiene purposes. The bathroom at times had no water and next to my room was the rooftop of another building with water from the rainy season that had now begun an endless supply of mosquitos which meant that I couldn't open my window. The staff were different with some very nice and easy to interact with, whereas others were rude and behaved like they were forced to deal with guests. This was a very different experience to my expectations... But I hope they improve as they have the potential to be the best budget accommodation in...

I took what was supposed to be the suite (most expensive room) - I had roaches all over the place - the fiber bathtub was cracked at several locations and it appeared as if an attempt was made to glue it together- I had a bad smell coming from wash basin - the curtains wouldn't cover the whole window - the TV sets were not working - linen was terrible - and we had no towels !!!! I got my towel at 2115hrs after asking a zillion attendants...when I got it - it was dirty and had stains and I am positive it was a used one. I wouldn't recommend this hotel...
