Zanzibar Ocean View — Hotel in Kilimani

This hotel represents a significant investment with poor management of the guest experience. At the reception, it took me over an hour to get to my room. The receptionist was extremely slow, and the whole process was manual; it took more than 20 minutes to locate an empty and open room for occupancy. |The room was average, with old furniture and overused mattresses and pillows, which does not equate to the value of the money I spent.|They told us the breakfast would be served by 7.30 am but there was none and when asked staff why there is no breafast there was no reponse ad one just said we are late wait for 30 minutes will be ready .in the same morning the receptionits could not care my concern i just decided to cancel my stay. PLEASE BE AWARE THE HOTEL LACKS MANAGEMENT, LACKS PROFESSIONAL STAFF, AND HAS NO VALUE...

The rooms were basic but comfortable and cleaned every day and have a fridge but no closed wardrobe. Towels and sheets were clean everyday. The bathroom was very basic and the water pressure was awful, the shower was nothing more than a few drips. Breakfast was very basic. The staff are all really helpful and friendly, wifi doesn't work in all areas of hotel. Advertised as having its own private beach, thankfully this wasn't the case as we spent a lot of time watching the locals playing football etc on the beach, as there was nothing else to do. Very large rats running around the garden areas. Need to be careful if walking to the restaurants at night, as I had my bag snatched off my arm by guys on a scooter. We booked this hotel for 1 night and it was not even close to what one should expect based on the photos displayed at booking . Com. The restaurant and bar areas were tragic and neglected. The lady in the reception at 19:00 that we arrived the most rude person in the entire zanzibar (hard to accomplish this).||The internet was not working anywhere and although the receptionist agreed there was a problem, did not assist us further. Overall, the worst hotel from the 5 that we tried during our stay in zanzibar.||The only reason we chose it was the fact it is near the airport, for our morning flight.||Ps: don’t book in advance, the hotel is empty and they make last minute offers with a significantly lower rate (compared to the 90$ i paid 4 months...
