Mama Pierina Res And Annex — Hotel in Morogoro Region

I stayed at Mama Pierina Res and Annex in Morogoro and had a truly lovely experience. The hotel is located within walking distance from the city center, yet it feels like a quiet little escape from the busy streets. Nearby, you’ll find several cafés and restaurants, but the hotel itself also has a fantastic restaurant offering delicious Greek and Italian cuisine.

The atmosphere at the hotel is relaxed and welcoming. Dimitra, the owner, is one of the kindest people I’ve met — always friendly, helpful, and ready to give great advice. The place feels very safe and homely, which made my stay especially comfortable.

The rooms are clean and come with air conditioning, a strong hot shower, and a small terrace. Some rooms have single beds, others double — there's flexibility depending on your needs. From the inner courtyard, you get a beautiful view of the Morogoro mountains, which adds to the charm of the place.

There’s also a nice selection of drinks at the bar — local beers, cider, gin & tonic — and it’s a peaceful corner just a few minutes away from the town buzz. A bank is close by, and it’s only about 10 minutes by bajaj to the main bus stop, and around 20 minutes to the train station.

All in all, I had a very pleasant stay. The staff speak English, and the whole experience felt easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Morogoro. In der Umgebung gibt es einige Cafés und Restaurants, aber auch das hauseigene Restaurant ist absolut empfehlenswert – es bietet leckere griechisch-italienische Küche.

Die Atmosphäre im Hotel ist entspannt und sehr angenehm. Die Besitzerin, Dimitra, ist eine unglaublich freundliche und hilfsbereite Person, die einem sofort das Gefühl gibt, willkommen zu sein. Man fühlt sich im Hotel sicher und fast wie zu Hause.

Die Zimmer sind sauber und mit Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Es gibt eine heiße Dusche mit gutem Wasserdruck und eine kleine Terrasse zu jedem Zimmer. Man kann zwischen Einzel- oder Doppelbett wählen – je nach Bedarf. Vom Innenhof aus hat man einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Morogoro-Berge, was dem Aufenthalt eine besondere Note verleiht.

An der Bar gibt es eine gute Auswahl an Getränken – lokales Bier, Cider, Gin Tonic – und insgesamt ist das Hotel ein ruhiger, gemütlicher Ort in der Nähe des geschäftigen Zentrums. Eine Bank ist direkt in der Nähe, die Busstation ist etwa 10 Minuten mit dem Bajaj entfernt, und zum Bahnhof sind es rund 20 Minuten.

Insgesamt war mein Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Das Personal spricht Englisch, und alles verlief unkompliziert und freundlich. Ich kann dieses Hotel jedem empfehlen, der Morogoro besucht. Номера чистые, есть кондиционер, душ с хорошим напором горячей воды, у каждого номера — небольшая терраса. Есть как одноместные, так и двухместные варианты. Из внутреннего двора открывается замечательный вид на горы Морогоро — особенно красиво в утреннее и вечернее время.

В баре отеля можно найти хорошие напитки: местное пиво, сидр, джин-тоник. Сам отель — это тихий и уютный уголок совсем рядом с оживлённым центром. В пешей доступности — банк, до автобусной остановки около 10 минут на баджаже, а до железнодорожной станции — примерно 20 минут.

We stayed in Mama Pierina for around 8 days I think and we really needed it because we were tired and we found the perfect place to be relaxed, with privacy, peace and comfort, everything for a fair price ! I would definitely recommend this place to anybody, single travellers, families, couples, friends, etc. The breakfast is included and you have it in the backyard, a beautiful and relaxing place! A place to feel at home immediately!! Strong recommendation. Simple but clean rooms - everything you need without unnecessary luxury located in a really beautiful garden for a fair price. The owner is very warm and extremely helpful with recommendations in the area, she can also organise safari to Mikumi. Also, this is a very child-friendly place where children can play, run and enjoy. It's very comfortable - we enjoyed staying some hours in the garden to relax and read.
