Mambo & Jambo Homestay — Hotel in Mwanza Region

The hostel is in a quite area, app. 30 min walking from the center. The rooms are clean and it’s a great value for 10€/ double room (without bathroom) . They also have a kitchen for self-sufficient travelers. WiFi is also working well in the common area. |Every bed comes with a mosquito net. |The two dorms are in a small building next to the main building. You have to walk through one of them in order to go out. Also there is only one shower for 2 dorms and at least another double room. |During the time I was there, the boy being in charge, did not speak any English at all, so communication about anything was difficult. After a trip I directly talked to the owner, whether I could make a reservation on the double room again. When I came back my bag was in a different double room. In the end they wanted to charge me way more for staying in a double room + bathroom. It would have been nice to be informed or better asked whether I want to stay in a more expensive room. |No fan...

First time doing Airbnb in Tz and is the worst experience.... The host isn't welcome or at least she chooses who to welcome warmly and service are so poor, the host didn't care to give any information about the area even the Wi-Fi password which later she gave to other guests who arrived same day as I. Day I arrived, I left left my room closed to come back finding it wide open and someone was charging something and the day I was leaving, I wanted to talk to the host, but she just told his guy that I should leave whatever message I want to him as she didn't want to come out of her room yet and sadly the guy is worse in communicating or he cares much more less as he learns from the boss. And yeah, shared bathroom is outside outside that one has to go through the sitting room or kitchen to go outside to find the bathroom. Unless u re group of friends or family otherwise it's not comfortable. I will only give a 👍 for the location but...
