First off the reception staff tried to charge us double of what we had seen advertised online. Not a good start but as we were tired from the long drive we asked to see the room and decided to stay. On closer inspection it was clear maintenance is needed!! Phone Didn’t work even though we had reported it three days running!! We were told it would be fixed each morning and that never occurred making ordering room service a pain! I had to use my own phone to order room service which they got wrong three times in a row!! I had to end up walking downstairs with a piece of paper writing down my order. Not good at all!!!!!!! ||||Staff would constantly knock on the door for room cleaning or enter without knocking whilst we were still in bed. This was extremely unacceptable! ||||There were more workers than guests in the hotel and unfortunately only 10% of them got the orders right and the rest had a lot of attitude!! They roll their eyes at you and made us feel so unwelcome. It costs more than other hotels in the area and it comes with a lot of attitude and rudeness from staff!||||Not only that be aware that a very loud band performs in the garden, keeping us awake til 3am. Parking was also a big issue and again we received attitude from staff when asking where to park. |||| My advice is reduce the number of staff and actually hire people who know what they’re doing and care about their guests!!! ||||The chef and food were not great and the breakfast was the worst I’ve ever had and I’ve travelled a lot!! |||| Not worth...

The room and the hotel were nice and clean and the dinner was good.

The meager one stars because we really had lots of problems with the service and costs. Firstly the cleaning service took out clothes from the bathroom and washed them, even though we didn't ask for it and they asked almost 15 USD for only some clothes. After much discussion and proof that we didn't even sign the laundry form, we didn't have to pay for it.

Secondly we didn't have any running water during the day on our second day due to maintenance - and no compensation for this.

Thirdly the manager told us that we have to pay only 80,000 tsh per night for three nights when we booked per telephone. When we came even the receptionist confirmed this as well but unfortunately we didn't pay directly when we first came and we didn't ask for a written bill directly. When we wanted to pay after two nights staying there, they suddenly said that we have to pay 90,000 tsh per night plus other fees, so in total almost 100,000 tsh per night. We had to argue so much until we could actually get the price we actually agreed on from the beginning. After this we decided to leave and shorten our visit in this hotel from 3 to only 2 nights. Bad experience! So if you want to stay in this hotel and the manager offers you some special price, make sure you pay upfront and don't let them coax you with...

I stayed at the Numbani Tanga Hotel while on a business trip to Tanga. It was very clean and the staff very helpful. It's perfectly fine for a night or two. The restaurant was closed when I was there as it was being renovated so breakfast was provided in the hotel's bar next door. We also had dinner there and it was good. The on-site gym is quite hot as there is no AC but the equipment all works and there is a 'women-only' time if women travelers prefer to exercise on their own.||The floors are tile, which I like as they are easy to be kept clean. Another hotel I stayed at had carpet, which in the hot, humid climate is not...

I recently stayed at the Nyumbani Hotel and had a decent experience overall. The hotel is conveniently located and has friendly staff, which made check-in a breeze. The room was clean but quite small, and the decor felt a bit outdated. The amenities were basic, and while the breakfast was satisfactory, it lacked variety. The noise level from the street was also a bit disruptive at night. Overall, it's a good option for a short stay if you’re looking for affordability and convenience.

The swimming pool is poorly maintained, with brown, murky water full of bugs and a slimy bottom that feels unbearable to stand on. The washrooms are filthy, smelly, and completely unusable, forcing us to leave in wet clothes. The overall condition of the pool and facilities reflects a serious lack of upkeep and hygiene.

A very nice hotel, that Covid-19 has not broken yet friendly staff and great views from the top, very reasonably priced as well once back after this all will be great again, and I will be back.
