THE KITCHEN CAFE — Restaurant in Tanga

We love to come (and order from) here regularly as the food is amazing and of good quality, similarly to Sea View and Hashtag cafe :) However, the service needs a lot of work as we have never felt welcome here... indeed, receiving a smile from anybody is almost impossible (how is that possible in TZ?). The staff is mostly interested in watching Tik-Tok on their phone, never asking how the food was or whether we want to order something more, the TV is too loud (why a TV in a cafe/restaurant anyway?) and when we order by phone it's a challenge to be told alone the total price or m-pesa number. More seriousness and open-heartedness could really profit...

If you are visiting tanga, then please visit this restaurant.. they have extreme well prepared menu with a well trained staff. Veg side Paneer dishes, chole Bhature and many others On non veg - their chicken biryani and tawa chicken are a must eat.

Their tandoori chicken, har bhara kabab and some other varieties are also very delicious.

Not so expensive.

They can also serve you without onion / garlic food ( for jains & swami Narayan people's)

Also, don't forget to ask their new chikki .. they are calling it alomond cookies .. it's mouth...

The kitchen cafe is one of the best indian restaurants in Tanga city. The food quality and taste are delicious. The price of food is a very good comparison to other restaurants. The location of the restaurant is a very good place inside the city. Lots of menus like Indian, Punjabi,gujrati,south indian also available here. Drinks bar also available here. You can enjoy it here very peacefully. If you are a food lover in Tanzania you can visit. I recommend it...
