Read moreWe have spent eight wonderful and relaxing nights at the beach resort in room number 19, a bungalow with garden view and a little glimpse of the Indian Ocean from the porch. The resort consists out of overall 10 Bungalows covering 20 rooms and a big main building containing a bar, the restaurant area where the half of full board is served plus chill out areas. An external agent can provide you with certain activities such as e.g. snorkeling, dolphin tours, Jozani Forrest tours, Spice Tours, and more. Be aware that it’s not cheap and look for alternatives to spear money. The staff and the manager Stanley were fantastic, always very friendly, helpful and open minded. The bar tender very eager to learn some Germán sentences 👌🏻 The room was very tidy and cleaned every day, and prepared for the night. The room lacks air conditioning, so if you desire it, look for a beach view room. A Water bottle per pax, to brush teeth, are provided once a day, as for westerners the tap water is not recommended. A fridge ain’t available, which is not surprising for a resort. A nice and pool is available in the garden area with depth between 1,2 and 2m. We enjoyed it a lot. An improvement would/could be a toilet and bar directly at the pool area. The beach is liberated from loose sea grass every morning and is subjected to the tide. On low tide you experience a vast beach and you can stroll into widely into the bay area, watching the locals harvesting sea Gras and net fishing which might contain your next dinner. As we were on the edge between high and low season we had the first days buffet and a la carte afterwards. Anyway, we liked both. Dishes with meat and fish alike. If you are posh, an extravagant person, and expect a 5* plus environment for that reasonable price-performance ratio look for something else and spent more. Otherwise we would warmly recommend this resort to you. Remark: As plastic waste is an issue on Zanzibar and everywhere else on the planet, try to avoid the consumption, make the resort manager aware to improve and collect if you can. Avoid it at home likewise, it makes the beautiful even more beautiful.
We had a wonderful time at the Hakuna Majiwe (No Stones) beach resort and would like to thank the entire staff for their hospitality ☺️ and wish all the best for your future. See you later...
