Went with a group of 8 and ordered various dishes. It is amazing how every dish was delicious! The price now is around $10-$15, which obviously tourist price but is definitely on the cheaper side, especially given the quality of the dishes. We had the catch of the day (tuna steak), grilled octopus, grilled squid, and tuna/avocado tartar. The squid was definitely a highlight- large portion and cooked just right. The waiters are smiley and helpful. Forgot to take a photo as I was enjoying the food so much. The environment is clean, tidy and, sleek tropical coastal style. In terms of the speed of service, I must mention that 1 hour wait for restaurant service is so normal in tropical places like Cuba, Mexico, Caribbean and here Tanzibar at many other restaurants haha. Ordered tuna & calamari which were both very good. We were the only table and waited over an hour for the food. Prices are higher than other places but same quality / taste. Upon asking for the bill we waited over 30 minutes. When I stood up to pay at the bar I was instructed to wait at the table. When paying, the restaurant did not have any change (this seems to be a common theme in Zanzibar for tourists) and we waited an extra 25 minutes for our change.
