Unexpectedly for me, the small hotel in a quiet location in Kizimkazi pleasantly surprised us. The food in the hotel restaurant was very delicious. For example, the salad with beetroot, mango, feta, and lentils, as well as the tuna ceviche, were simply fantastic. The rooms were spacious and large in Chameleon Blue. Despite the lack of air conditioning, the fan kept the room cool enough during the night. The ocean water was emerald, clear as a tear, and the beach was wild and uncrowded, just a short walk from the hotel. I would like to express my gratitude to Annick for her hospitality and help with resolving our issues. I definitely recommend this paradise spot for a vacation.

The hotel was amazing. The rooms were very beautiful, exceptionally clean, and had a pleasant fragrance. The shower even provided warm water and had good water pressure. The hotel area is tastefully decorated, especially the pool and chillout area. The evening atmosphere is cozy, with music, many candles, and lanterns. The staff is exceptionally very kind and helpful. Additionally, we only had to walk a few minutes to the beach. In summary, it felt like a delightful weekend in paradise with an excellent price-performance ratio. Asante sana!

Had an amazing stay at Kamelon blue ! The place is very lovely with the seats and the (big) swimming pool Loved the colourful lights at night in the lodge ✌️ The owners Annick and Benjamin and also the staff are extremely cool, they make you feel at home Food is pretty nice especially the tuna wrap and the chocolate mousse with mango sauce🤤 Dont miss the breakfast with fruits, chapati and crêpes. I now have my place in Kizimkazi, definitely coming back there soon!

The owner is really trying to make an impossible concept work, but for us it fell well short. We were going to stay two nights, but ended up leaving after the first night. The owner did give us a full refund. The room we had looked lovely, though the owner's used bikini and towel were still hanging in the bathroom when we arrived. However, as night fell, the issues with the concept quickly came to light. It's very open to the outside, so the mosquitoes were assaulting us as we dried off after our shower and tried to make it as quickly as possible to the mosquito-netted bed. The mosquito net did keep most of the mosquitoes away, though we were bit by a number of them through the night. We made sure to fully close our suitcases in case any other creatures decided to have a look at them - but that didn't keep hundreds of tiny black ants making their way into the suitcases. We were still dealing with them days later. I would assume that the units that are not as open to the outside are not as bad with the critters. On the plus side, the breakfast was lovely as was the dinner we had there. The staff was also pleasant. I wish the best of luck to the owner, but I have a hard time seeing the concept of the very open rooms working outside of...

Gorgeous spot in a peaceful area outside of Kizimkazi. The hotel is beautiful, we really enjoyed the pool and generous breakfast, and the staff were so attentive and friendly! The rooms are also great, however we had some issues. We were not informed that the hot water wasn’t working, but the staff were very helpful and organised a kettle for our room. We did also have quite a few bugs in our room and birds in the bathroom (including bird poo everywhere), as the windows have no glass. The location is very remote, however this was what we were looking for at the time so we were happy. In late May, there are no other restaurants open in Kizimkazi, so we could only eat at the hotel restaurant which was SUPER TASTY, but also very expensive so just something to keep in mind. All in all, even with the flaws above we had a great stay especially for the price....
