★★★★★ A Beachfront Haven with Exceptional Hospitality in Jambiani
From the moment I made my last-minute booking at Mahi Mahi, I knew I'd found something special. What I couldn't have anticipated was just how extraordinary this beachfront gem would turn out to be. The family who run the hotel went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcome and comfortable as a solo traveler, creating an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and wonderfully personal.
The hotel's location is simply unbeatable – directly on Jambiani's pristine beach, offering what I can only describe as the most therapeutic views imaginable. Whether you're lounging by their beautiful pool or relaxing on your balcony, the endless expanse of turquoise water and white sand creates a sense of peace that's hard to find elsewhere.
What truly sets Mahi Mahi apart is its staff. The restaurant and hotel workers demonstrate a level of professionalism and kindness that makes every interaction a pleasure. They strike that perfect balance between attentive service and giving guests space to unwind and enjoy their surroundings. Their genuine warmth and attention to detail enhanced every aspect of my stay.
Whether you're traveling solo (as I was), as a couple, or with family, Mahi Mahi provides the perfect setting for a peaceful retreat. The beachfront location, combined with the outstanding hospitality from the three brothers and their professional team, creates an environment where you can truly relax and feel at home.

Read moreWe stayed at Mahi Mahi from 31st Dec until 7th January 2023 and had the most wonderful time. The hotel is beautiful, the beds and pillows comfy, lovely cold aircon, water in the rooms each morning. The area is very safe and peaceful and there’s no reason to leave the hotel grounds but if you do the hotel can easily arrange a taxi to a busier bit of Jambiani. We ate at the restaurant a number of times and the food is delicious. We also walked on to the beach 5 minutes to other cafes and restaurants during the day and evening and felt very safe. The staff are super friendly and we felt very well looked after. The pool is clean and we loved waiter service to drink late afternoon cocktails around it most days. This is an absolute gem of a place to stay - we actually extended our stay rather than going over to Stone Town, we felt so happy and relaxed. If you’re looking for affordable luxury, great food and drinks, a total relaxation experience this is the place to book. Would 100%...
Read moreWe are very happy with our stay here. This hotel has an amazing view! They are situated on a private little cove. It's so quiet here, it feels like you have the resort all to ourselves. Clyde and family and the staff at Mahi Mahi really took such good care of us. The room is new and clean, bed is comfy and wifi works well. They clean the room daily which is really nice. The food in the restaurant is really good. You really don't need to go anywhere else. We love watching the tide changes every morning after breakfast and walking the sea bed (must do). You won't get this anywhere else. The sea recedes up to at least 2km. We booked a Dhow cruise from the front desk and it was MAGICAL! When you are on the Dhow sailing the ocean is when you truly appreciate the beauty of Zanzinbar! It's spectacular. It's also easy to walk the beach to nearby resorts and restaurant. Couple of nice bars and restaurants within a 10mins walk. Easy and nice to explore Jambiani. We would totally...
