Kome Beach House — Hotel in Unguja

Paid owner (Iddi) for one month in advance. When I arrived to Zanzibar not only was I robbed in his house but he also proceeded to blame me (for not locking the door) and then blame my friend simply because he was a local. This is despite identifying the robber. It only gets worse. I was informed on day 4 I would have to pack up and move to a hotel half way through the month as he double booked the house. Furthermore I was put into a house I specifically didnt want. He lied about this. That was only the beginning of his lies. After I discussed with him, we both decided I would move. I ran around for an entire day trying to find last minute accommodation (no easy feat). When I finally found a house, Iddi refused to give me a fair refund, instead trying to gauge me for the 4 nights I stayed (including the night I was robbed). Despite promising a partial refund and a refund of the cash that was stolen, he sent half and then stopped responding. He has since sent me extremely creepy messages saying he is on the island watching me (I am alone and have no idea what he looks like). STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCAMMING CREEP! The location is perfect. You can jump off your porch and you’re on the beach. Next to this, Abdi is a wonderful host. He even made a dinner buffet for us, gave us a ride to the supermarket when we didn’t have our own transportation and made sure the house was cleaned during our stay. Lovely place to stay! Jambiani is the most beautiful and most relaxt place on the island. Few restaurant next door and a good kite school! Iddi, abdi and hassan of Kome can help you with everything. From doing trips to renting cars, everything is possible. When i told Abdi we were a little sick of some streetfood we had the day before, they came straight away with fresh coconuts to help with the stomach ache. Would recommend...
