It’s a lovely hotel in a quiet part of Jambiani (almost very south of the village). |We loved our stay a lot! First I had thought that it could have been better located or that it’s too far from everything but than we saw only advantages in that. |The hotel is very quiet and safe, it has a small pool which is convenient during low tides. Also, there’s a restaurant with tasty food (we ordered lobster 3 or 4 times) at affordable price. You can order some fruits at good price too. |It’s located 10 minutes by foot from the village center where you can find a few stores and local “restaurants”. |The village road goes between the hotel and restaurant so the hotel territory isn’t solid. And the restaurant is located on the small cliff with the beach where there’s always a lot of sea weed. So for swimming you need go for like 100 meters. These are probably the only things that may be considered inconvenient. |The rest is just local culture, way of life, something to discover. |Some people prefer other beaches because of tides but I’d say it’s very interesting to observe. You can walk on the sea bottoms, look at fishes, sea start, take some interesting pictures. But when the ocean is back, you get the stunning beauty and safe swimming - no echinuses or anything else that can harm you. |I loved my stay a lot and I’d gladly visit Art...

This hotel has a first nucleum of four rooms around a little pool plus 4 more rooms in a nice nearby House. We where surronded by kindness and attention. The breakfast was abounant and with two serve: first mixed local fruits (watermelon, banana, mango..) then scrambled eggs with crêpes.lot of tea and a very tasty avocado fresh juice. The scenary from the breakfast table is astonishing We also had dinner a cuople of times and we where treated as Kings. Two waiters only for us. I tasted here the best cooked fresh octopussy in my Life. Also shrimps where something to tell. Prices are above average but still affordable. ( 49usd for 2 octopussy 2 chicken all served with fryes or rice, one beer 3 waters). Prices for rooms still above average but the rooms are beatifully painted and superclean. Place is ultra peaceful. Best for kitesurf. To swim in the sea you have to wait for the high tide. Within 5 min walk a nice...
Read moreI’ve been coming to Art Hotel Zanzibar for the past three years, and it truly feels like my home by the beach. This small boutique hotel is run by Jemilah, a wonderful local host who returned from Europe and pours her heart into making guests feel welcome.||Breakfast is included and always fresh, and the hotel also serves lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices. The highlight for me is their bar in front of the hotel, which has the best view on this side of the beach. During the day, you can relax while watching windsurfers and traditional local boats glide across the water. At night, the atmosphere becomes magical—the moon reflects beautifully over the ocean, creating the perfect setting to unwind with a hookah after a day of activities.||The rooms are cozy, the prices are excellent, and Jemilah’s warm personality makes every stay memorable. Art Hotel Zanzibar isn’t just accommodation—it’s an experience I look forward to every year. Highly recommended if you want an authentic, relaxed, and unforgettable stay...
