Buri Hostel Bangkok — Hotel in Bang Na Nuea Subdistrict

First of all, the property looks like a proper penitentiary. Cement walls and a room that looks like a dungeon. No window/natural light so it’s pitch black all day/night. Breakfast was white rice, cold fried rice, and white bread. Soup is also included, but you have to ask for it - for some reason? Wifi doesn’t work; it’s username/password style that doesn’t connect. She’ll give 3 usernames and passwords to try and none will work. When you ask why it’s not working, she gets frustrated at you, as if it’s your problem! The worst part is the receptionist — The woman who works at the front desk needs to get a job in a different field because she clearly has zero hospitality experience or want to succeed in it. She’s rude, dismissive, and only concerned with herself, scrolling Facebook and taking your money. She argued me about the wifi, was rude to both myself/my partner when we asked simple questions. She’s completely unapproachable, unprofessional and downright ridiculous. Booked and prepaid 2 nights, checked out after 1. Luckily got a refund from Agoda. Don’t stay here, don’t support people like her when there is tons of other locals who are actually happy...

I felt very unsafe as a women I could hear sounds all night in the room next to me … really weird , there was an insect . The bathroom not dirty but smell very bad when I wake up . Felt very uncomfortable when I arrive with men customers and also during breakfast staring at me for no reason . Really weird vibe overwall , staff didn’t really reassure me like it’s normal for them idk ? If your a solo travelling women RUN ! I didn’t sleep all night and I had a week before in another hostel that was really good . They went to see at night but they didn’t really look concerned , I was feeling very anxious.
