Ok....my title is the positive aspect....negative is the lack of English of the hotel staff. There was some confusion the second day as the new clerk didn't know I'm a guest and they locked me out of my room. I had to find a local who spoke some English to do the translating for me.||Breakfast is mediocre but free. Basically toast and instant coffee. They have a nice patio out front and the beer in their fridge is even cheaper than the 7-11 next door.||I had a room on the 3rd floor - pleasant view by day but the single pane windows don't keep much noise out. This hotel is in a college town so lots of youths partying and drinking till all hours along the beach walk in front of the hotel. A group parked there for most of the night and kept me up. ||The room was nice and the hotel looked new so it's possible there's still some training issues. Shoes need to be either carried up to the room or left in the laundry room...speaking of laundry room...I was never sure if I could use the washer/dryer or if it was just for hotel use. I assumed it's hotel use. ||Oh...side note....there's a chart in the room regarding the cost for buying/breaking objects in the room. Strangely enough it's more expensive to vomit or bleed on a towel than it...
Read moreUtterly shocking experience, and sadly had to stay here as it was the only place in town with rooms available during our stay in Bangsaen (the town is terrible anyway, and there is literally no reason at all to come here).||||The lobby is colourful and inviting, and the big ladyboy on the desk is fairly polite. After this it all goes wrong. We stayed on the forth floor (no lift), the street is incredibly noisy all night, guests have kids running around and there is no staff or security at night; the shower is positioned above the toilet so you have to sit on the loo to take a shower. No towels, no robes, no toiletries, ... only loads of mosquitoes - it's disgusting. The toilet set was broken and to fix the situation they borrowed a toilet seat of a different size, so it was largely unusable.||||The whole stay was so utterly horrific it would have been funny, had it not cost 1700 Baht - twice the cost of a decent/tolerable room somewhere else.||||Awful experience, but one that will stay...
Read moreOne good thing about this place is its fantastic location. We stayed here for one night so my boyfriend could easily reach the starting point of the Bangsaen42 Marathon, which was just 1.3 kilometers away. We paid 2,600 THB for a room with a sea view. It's important to note that the room was on the 4th floor, and there was no elevator in the building.
Our stay included breakfast, but it wasn't very impressive. The breakfast consisted of simple items like Thai-style pork porridge, plain white bread, margarine, a small selection of fruits, and a choice between 3-in-1 coffee or chocolate malt. Considering the price we paid, we expected more. We understand that during big events like the Bangsaen42 Marathon, hotels in Bangsaen tend to raise their prices. However, it would have been better if they had improved the quality of the breakfast to match the...
