Extremely Negative Review: the worst hotel I have ever stayed in

I’ve been traveling for many years and I have a lot of experience with hotels, but I have to say this is the worst place I have ever encountered, even after spending months in India. I booked a room with a fan because in every hotel the ceiling fan is always large enough to move the air properly so mosquitoes won’t bite you. Here it was the opposite: they installed a tiny fan on the ceiling, like the ones you find on buses, completely useless. On Agoda it was never stated that the fan was this small. And to make things worse, after many hours of travel there was not even hot water. Paying around 450 baht per night for a room without hot water is simply ridiculous.

I immediately went downstairs to the reception, but no one was there. I found another guest and asked him to call someone because the staff doesn’t speak English. When the lady finally arrived, I immediately felt like I was being mocked. I asked to speak with the manager on the phone, but before even addressing the issue she told me to cancel my booking. I laughed, because I don’t let people take advantage of tourists like that. I insisted and asked them to call the boss of the property. The call between the manager and the boss lasted ten seconds: he simply told her to cancel my booking. Obviously I insisted again, and only then they changed my room to one that at least had hot water. Even in the Middle Ages they had hot water by heating it over the fire.

But the problems didn’t end there. The new room had no fan, only an AC unit. Instead of apologizing for the misunderstanding (I would have gladly given a generous tip), they removed the remote control and told me the AC “wasn’t working.” Who do they think they’re fooling? The fan they gave me made an absurd loud noise for two nights in a row, and I barely slept at all.

I completely understand why no one chooses this place: it’s so old that time seems to have stopped. No tourists stay here, and after speaking with other people I found out everyone advises against it. The price is extremely high for what you get. Everything is dirty, and no one seems to care about cleaning. If you’re on foot, you literally have to walk through a dirty forest to reach it. Too many mosquitoes everywhere, definitely not suitable for children. The staff think that because you're a tourist, you're stupid. I asked them if they had a fridge because we needed to put some medicine in it, and they said no. But that's not true: from the corridor, I could see that they had a fridge that worked perfectly well. I would have even left them a tip for their trouble, but nothing. How ridiculous...

จองห้องพักผ่านไลน์เข้าวันอาทิตย์(ออกพรรษา66)ทราบจากเค้าเตอร์ว่าน่าจะเป็นเจ้าของรับเองและเราติดจองอีกที่หนึ่งกำลังจะเอาแต่ว่าเป็นเตียง 5 ฟุต แต่ที่นี่6ฟุตและไม่บวกเพิ่มห้องแอร์เลยเลือกที่นี่เพราะน้อง7ขวบตัวเล็กไปด้วย ความห่างจากหาดก็ไม่ต่างกันมาก..แต่ พอไปถึง14.00กว่าเวลาเช็คอิน กลับให้ต้องนั่งรอ15นาที อ้างเช็คเอ้าพร้อมๆกัน แม่บ้านกะลังทำความสะอาด(ตลกละ)...และเห็นลูกค้าคนหนึ่งกำลังนั่งรอพร้อมกระเป๋าก่อนหน้านั้นแล้วด้วย..ตัดสินใจไม่รอวางกระเป๋าเสื้อผ้าไว้แค่ 1 ใบทำความสะอาดเสร็จให้เอาขึ้นไปไว้บนห้องให้ด้วยแล้วกันพาน้องไปเล่นน้ำทะเลก่อน มีค่ามัดจำกุญแจ 200 ทุกอย่างผ่านการโอน..เจ้าของแจ้งทางไลน์ว่าวันเช็คเอ้าจะคืนให้.. ..กลับมาจากเล่นน้ำทะเลห้องอยู่ตรงทางบันไดชั้น2พอดี เป็นห้องแบบธรรมดาไม่ได้ตกแต่งอะไรพิเศษห้องน้ำแคบมากแทบยืนอาบน้ำบนชักโครก//ส่วนกลางคืนเหมือนนอนข้างรางรถไฟวิ่ง..เสียงแอร์จะดังไปไหน เก่าและไม่เย็นเลย ข้างนอกระเบียงมีฝุ่นและขี้นก//ทีวีจอเล็กๆเท่าจอคอมพิวเตอร์ พักแค่ 1คืนเวลาคนเดินขึ้นบันไดได้ยินชัดมีเสียงพูดคุย ผ้าเช็ดตัวเหมือนผ้าห่มบางและขาด..check out 11.45น.พนักงานหน้าเคาน์เตอร์แจ้งว่าเดี๋ยวเจ้าของโอนค่ามัดจำกุญแจให้ค่ะ..ถามว่าเมื่อไร..บอกไม่เกินเที่ยง ซึ่งมันก็ตลกลูกค้า check out ยังไม่คืนเงินให้ จะขึ้นไปเช้คห้องก้ไม่ว่า แต่นี่บอกให้รอ ออกมาซื้อของอ่างศิลา 13:30 น ต้องโทรถามว่าทำไมเงินยังไม่เข้า..เคาน์เตอร์ตอบมาว่าคงเพราะเจ้าของยังไม่ว่างค่ะ ตลกอีกละ ทำบ่อยละสิ..ก็เลยถามว่า เธอแจ้งเจ้าของหรือยัง..หนูลงงานไว้แล้วค่ะ..คงประมาณบันทึกไว้เฉยๆ ก็เดี๋ยวถ้าเป็นอย่างนี้พี่จะลง google แล้วกันว่าที่นี่เป็นแบบนี้ แอร์ก็ดัง มาถึงก้ต้องรอ แถมยังต้องโทรทวงค่ามัดจำอีก..น่าจะไม่เกิน 10 นาทีทางเจ้าของรีบโอนเงินให้ทันที อ้างไม่สบายอยู่รพ. แต่ใช้มือถือคีมาบอกพร้อมเงินโอน คาดว่ามือไม่ได้หัก...
