Hello. I have provided some of the photos I took when on vacation at Koh Tao Hillside resort. My wife had more photos on her phone, but lost her phone during our travels back to Bangkok. I supplied some photos from the recent website provided by Koh Tao Hillside Resort. Examples of a clean pool that actually had water in the pool, 2 functioning restaurants, a pool bar that did not exist, and several other photos from their website, like a golf cart that works and takes you to your room. Then I added some of the photos that are the actual conditions when my wife and I stayed at the resort. I wanted to leave and go to a new hotel, but could not contact your business. My wife called your Thailand contact number several times over a two day period. No one answered on all attempts. So I had to stay at hotel because I could not contact you for a refund and advice on getting new hotel. From june 5 to June 26 we stayed as planned. Then we left and got a new hotel that was 150% better than the original resort. There was no wifi in our room, which I sent a photo from their website states that there is. We had to buy our own toilet paper because they only supplied it every 4-5 days. Our towels were old and ragged with actual holes in them, I added a photo of an example. There was trash out in front of our room that was left there for a week. Old, folded up beds left outside our room and other rooms. The contact number to the hotel reception did not work, we called several times and phone line just cut off. The pool had no water in it two different times, equalling about 5 days with no pool because it was empty with no water. When they finally filled pool, the water was green and they left the cleaning hose in the pool everyday, I provided a photo. The chairs and mats by the pool were dirty, ripped with holes and burn marks, unpainted furniture, and the pool umbrellas were rusted, torn, and all but the one i provided a photo with my wife laying under it was ripped, rusted and dirty. They had trash everywhere, for example, a pile of old air conditioning units that I had to walk by everyday. The golf carts did not work, they had 3 parked out front of the resort that were rusted, missing tires, and junk. Everyday at 12:00 noon until 3:00pm, they turned all the power off in the hotel. They claimed all the hotel do it for 3 hours each day. That was a lie, because when we finally moved to the new hotel, which was less than a half mile away, they had power everyday, all day long with no interruption of service. We asked other hotels about the power and the other 3 hotels also did not turn off their power. The cable tv only worked once in a while, most of the time it would not receive any channels or service. The bar that they claim is by the pool was an empty shack, looked like a homeless shelter, no bar, I provided a photo. The restaurant that is on the internet was not open and did not open at night either. The workers were nice, but they did not work. Most of the time they sat on rocks and looked at their phones. there were more workers than guests, so do not understand why the place was so un cared for. I saw other couples check in, but they all soon left and went to other hotels. There were many other dissapointments which created many fights between me and my wife. I am very upset that the advertising of the resort is totally misleading. I never complained about service or hotels, but this ruined my trip to Thailand. And the lack of support from your contact phone number did not help.I hope you compensate us for the false advertising and the horrible conditions that we dealt with. I would of left the first day if you answered your contact number. I will attach photos of what is on the internet and some of the photos I took of what it really looks like. I hope to hear from you soon. basically the photos on website and booking agents are old and lies. I stayed there 5 years ago and it was nice, now, a total crap hole. Trash everywhere and Agoda did not compensate me for a horrible stay. If Agoda is going to post and promote a resort, they should actually have someone from there company go once and a while to actually see if property is the real deal. Do not stay at this resort, they do not give a crap about what their resort looks...

Read moreWhere to start?First of all DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE WITHOUT READING THIS. We read so many bad reviews about this place and we didn't want to believe it could be that bad. We arrived at Koh Tao and called the hotel since the guy who was supposed to pick us up (as arranged the previous day) wasn't there, yet the hotel owner (the old guy with glasses that you read on the other comments about) said he was there looking for us.We waited, and he never arrived - we called again and the guy remembered to send someone... we had to wait another 20 minutes. After our arrival we didn't know where to go since we were left at the kitchen/lobby area and there was no one to be seen. We called the owner again and he came to greet us and we told him that we were very tired and we wanted to go to our rooms, my friend ask him why wasn't anyone there to pick us up or to book us in to which he responded that "We were late. It's open 8 to 4 ok?". I told him it was not ok and after arguing for a few minutes I was already on the app of trip asking for help (I was offered a refund or to talk to the owner). After trip called the owner, he came with one key and we told him we booked 2 rooms not 1. He gave us two Seaview rooms since he didn't have garden view rooms for both of us.We thought what a nice guy... until we arrived to the rooms. Well you can see the pictures yourselves, everything was dirty and my friends room couldn't close the main door and also it had geckos inside, along with a flickering main light and a lack of plug points. He was changed to a deluxe room (still pretty bad for the price they were asking). Since we were very tired we rolled with the punches and slept on those disgusting sheets. Next morning I asked the owner to please change my sheets since they were smelly and dirty, he came with 2 girls with new sheets but ohhh surprise one of my "clean" sheets was completely a mess and she saw it and still decided to put it on my bed until I pointed out to massive spots of some sort of food. They had to go and bring new ones, we were offered free transportation to the city, in our last day when we asked the driver to take us please he agreed with a fee of 50 baht, well as expected he wanted to charge us to pay him 400 baht at the end of the trip. Before I even forget, prepare going 1000 steps up and 1000 down on some staircase because you going to need it if you book this hotel. That goes without mentioning how steep the place is.Overall is a really bad experience for a beautiful view of the sea. If the owner would put some effort and money into this hotel it could be a great hotel. But as it is now, it's not...
