This hotel is an excellent choice if only because it is located directly opposite Wat Phumin and within walking distance of most of the key tourist sights in Nan. Even better, it is located right next door to an Amazon Cafe with excellent coffee and a very pleasant outdoor seating area. At 1,800 Baht/night for a deluxe room, the hotel is relatively expensive compared to similar accommodation further away from the centre of town or in neighbouring provinces.||The hotel had convenient parking and the rooms are clean. The manager and staff very friendly and helpful. As for breakfast, however, I cannot understand the positive reviews as the cooked food was all cold both days we visited and was not at all enticing. In addition, there were only two electric outlets in our room located on the floor each side of the bed, so we had to plug the kettle in on the floor, rather than on a table. These are all relatively minor gripes which could be easily fixed if the...
Read moreWow, I am so glad I booked this hotel after searching for many days online about hotels in Nan. Phumin Place is a beautiful haven, the rooms are huge and so comfortable and the staff are above and beyond helpful. The location is about a 5-second walk to the Night Market and Wat Phumin, but if you want to go further afield, the free bikes on offer are good quality and comfortable. Usually we skip breakfast, but definitely don't here: the breakfast is cooked by the owners mother and it's high-quality, super tasty, authentic Northern Thai food. A real treat. Will DEFINITELY book here again when we come back to Nan, which, by the way, is an excellent...
