This hotel has many good things: Nice aircondition lobby 4 elevators Ocean views On the beach Bar area on the beach Kids pool Swimming pool by the beach front Fitness, Spa & massage area Villa zone with own swimming pool (other Zign area)
Not so great: Close to noisy area from the nearby bars and streets Hotel noises The morning buffet breakfast Dinning area, not many outside seating tabels The pool area had not enough sun beds (many were damaged) There was not many parasols, and shady spots The pool towels were usable (ekstra payment) Internet speed Communication problems (language) The lack of service Not a 5 star hotel
Distances: 7 -eleven, massage, pubes and restaurants 5 min walk Walk to the central street is about 20 - 30 min 3,1 km to Terminal 2. (shopping mall) around 42 min walk 6,1 km to Walking street around 1 hour and 24 min walk 4,9 km to Pattaya Night bazaar 1 hour and 7 min walk 123 km Suvarnabhumi airport around 1 hour and 25 min driving (without traffic) There are hop on vans in the main streets (pay 10 baht) when hop off.
My experiences for my 3 nights at this hotel was; The hotel room I was in was worn out (outdated) and it was out to the street, and even though it was on the ninth floor I could still hear all the noises and music from the street and nearby bars. The noise from anyone in the hotel (neighbour's room) was noticable. The bed was low and very hard to lay on. The bathroom was worn out, and the sink facet was broken. The air-conditioning was hard to set, made lots of noise and sometimes the aircon leaked water. The hotel only provided 2 bottles of water per day. (no free water service by the pool) There was a small fridge, made plenty of noise. Minibar was 2 packages of coffee.
The only restaurant we were in was the one near the lobby for our breakfast, which in my opinion was not worth the money. The restaurant was very cold. There are plenty of different foods and juices, the food was not to my liking, since I am not a great fan of buffet foods. The many coffee machines, were working hard to keep up with the many demanding people. Could be hard to find a vacant table when many people Outside sitting was very hard to get, since there were very few...
Read moreThe Zign Hotel is a massive resort on Nakula Beach, Pattaya. However, across the road are the Premium Villas which provide an oasis of calm from the coach load of tourists that are staying at the main resort.||||Villa guests have use of the facilities in the main hotel including the well-equipped gym and sauna. There is also a small private beach in front of the hotel. Otherwise, villa guests have their own private pool which was nice and quiet.||||The villa section has its own dining restaurant, called Moods, which served an excellent breakfast buffet. Most of the dishes are Chinese influenced, there is an egg station and the usual pastries and fruit if you prefer Continental fare. ||Service is very good, staff recognised us and on the second morning, brought us our preferred hot beverage without us having to request. We also dined there for dinner one evening, and the Thai curries and appetizers were excellent! ||||Some advice:||1. Free shuttle to Central Festival shopping mall - the mall operators run a free shuttle that goes round the resorts to bring guests to the mall. When you arrive at the mall, go to information counter to ask about or book the return shuttle. We did not do that and ended up waiting more than 40min for the "scheduled" shuttle to arrive to no avail. When the shuttles finally appeared, the drivers said they couldn't take us as they were off duty (at 8pm).||||2. To get to Terminal 21 shopping mall, the hotel advised us to take a taxi limo that costs 300 baht. We ended up walking 3km to Terminal 21 and taking the baht bus back that cost us 20 baht per person.||||3. There are various eating options outside the hotel but operated by the hotels. We discovered a little charming cafe just outside the Zign Hotel and it served delicious snacks and Thai food. Also a great place to grab a gelato.||We also bought freshly cut fruit for 50 baht a plate from the fruit vendor outside the Family Mart mini supermarket. ||||4. Foot massage and Thai massage cost 200 baht for one hour at the spas located just outside the hotel. Most are...
Read moreThis was the first time my wife, daughter, and I stayed here. I had high expectations for this trip because the place is filled with activities and a great atmosphere that seemed perfect for our family. So, I booked a room for 3 days and 2 nights to ensure we could fully relax. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, whose service truly impressed us.
However, on the first night, an issue occurred. In the early evening while we were sleeping, there was a sudden loud noise, like a small explosion, inside the room. Immediately after that, the power went out entirely. I quickly called the staff to have a technician come check the problem. About 20 minutes later, the technician arrived, inspected the issue, and discovered that it was due to an electrical malfunction, which he then fixed. I asked him, “Will this happen again?” and he replied, “No, it’s been fixed.” I didn’t think much of it, thanked him, and went back to sleep.
Then came the second night. While our family was asleep, at around 5:10 AM, we heard the same loud noise again, like another explosion, and the power went out in the room just like before. My one-year-old daughter was startled awake and began crying in fear. I called the staff again and waited nearly 25 minutes for the technician to arrive. This time, it took almost an hour to complete the repairs, leaving my wife, daughter, and me unable to continue resting.
To be honest, I felt deeply disappointed with this experience. We came here to relax but didn’t get the rest we had hoped for. When checking out, I informed the staff about the incidents, and they apologized.
In the end, although my family and I still appreciate the atmosphere, service, and activities here, we are now unsure if we can trust staying here again...
