To anyone looking to book a holiday in Khao Lak, I cannot recommend strongly enough to not book this hotel. The manager is untrustworthy and deceptive.||We booked for 7 nights using Agoda and received a confirmation email. The booking said we would pay the hotel on arrival. It didn't ask for any payment details.||Several days later we received another email prompting us to "confirm" we were coming. We confirmed.||We traveled to a nearby national park for one night where we had no mobile signal before arriving at the hotel the next day at 3pm (within the check-in window). Unbeknownst to us, the manager had decided to cancel our booking and mark us as "no shows" before 9am that day (approximately 5 hours before check-in).||When we arrived he told us we didn't have a room and there was no space. All the affordable hotels, hostels, bungalows and tents of Khao Lak were booked for the entire week of our stay as it's high season. He left us with no where to go but £200+ a night resorts that we could not afford. He was unremorseful and just said it was our fault he couldn't contact us to take a payment card. Oh and we got charged for the pleasure of being marked as "no shows".||We had NO missed calls, NO emails, NO messages on Agoda. He didn't try to contact us, he clearly decided to give the room to someone else for a higher price.||Add to that the hotel itself looks cluttered and unkempt, so maybe he did us a favor by effectively leaving us homeless for a week.||An underwhelming looking hotel run by a horrible, deceptive man. Our 2nd stay at C-nior. Unlike the other review from today we never had any issues with the manager. Always helpful but sometimes he is a bit stressed out and distraught. Helped us get motorbikes and negotiate with the company when we had a small accident with one of the bikes and also arranged flawless transfer to/from the airport. He also runs a travel agency from the reception office.||The facility provides great value for money, we have been in both bungalow and pool access rooms. Reasonably clean and fair shape overall. It says you can get breakfast here but I don’t see where/how as the immediately adjacent restaurant “The View” is not open before 10a.m. at best. Walkers Inn is just 5 min walk down the road and serves very good breakfast for a very reasonable price. ||Noise levels from the road are negligible in the rooms and fair in the pool area. We will likely return again and can wholheartedly recommend the place for any traveler who mainly needs a place to crash but also for families since the pool is great, or 5y.o. has had a total blast here.
