🌟 A Wonderful First Experience with Turkish Food! 🌟
I just had my first visit to a Turkish restaurant and it was absolutely lovely! From the warm hospitality to the rich flavors, everything exceeded my expectations.
🫖 Complimentary Treats: They started me off with a glass of Turkish tea and a couple of classic meze—Ezme (spicy tomato dip) and Haydari (garlic yogurt dip). Such a nice and welcoming touch, and both were so flavorful!
🥟 Starter: I ordered something like a beef spring roll, crispy on the outside and juicy inside. A delicious fusion of texture and taste.
🍖 Main: The beef and lamb meatballs were perfectly seasoned and grilled—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Definitely a highlight of the meal!
🍨 Dessert: I finished with Baklava served with vanilla ice cream—sweet, crunchy, and creamy all at once. A perfect ending to a great meal.
💬 Overall Experience: Everything was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service was warm, and I felt truly welcomed. I really loved it and will definitely be coming back again. As a hotel receptionist, I’ll be happily recommending this place to our...
Read moreThe atmosphere of this Turkish restaurant wasn’t bad, but considering the price, I wouldn’t recommend it. We had much better kebabs in Phuket for the same price, and that place even included complimentary appetizers, tea, and dessert.
On the positive side, the service was good. However, the food itself was disappointing. The meat had a raw smell, which was quite unpleasant. The wooden serving boards were old, full of knife marks, and had a strong meat odor, which made the experience even less enjoyable.
I also really didn’t like their bread—it was hard and sour, not what I expected from a good Turkish restaurant.
Another issue was the billing. My husband ordered two skewers of kebab, but instead of charging for just the skewers, they billed us for two full meals, which was completely unreasonable.
One thing I don’t understand is why so many places in this area—whether restaurants or hotels—have such high reviews, when in reality, the prices and services don’t match the ratings at all.
Overall, for the same price, you can find much better Turkish food elsewhere, so I...
Read moreHad high hopes due to the reviews and given our past experience with Mediterranean food in thailand (shoutout koh tao). I got the Greek salad and asked for no green peppers. When it came there were not only green peppers but probably half the bowl was red onion. I expected this as I noticed the server did not write down the 'no green pepper' request. It was also very heavily souped in balsamic vinegar and oil. We also got the hummus but unfortunately something was off about it. The plate was cold when we got it and something tested wrong. My husband got a chicken dish. He said the chicken and vegetables were well done and seasoned but the eggplant puree was lacking.
The server who took our order (blue shirt) and dropped off the food seemed to care very little about us. But there was another server (yellow shirt) who checked in on us when we were not eating the hummus and apologized and took it off the bill. So he saved the restaurant from a 2 star review.
The restaurant really just seemed like 'food - meet plate' as opposed to any...
