Tranquil beach for relaxation. White sand and blue clear water beach. Near to all hotels. No rush can relax and feel fresh. Can be accessed through Phuket and Surat thani by bus. Reasonable accommodation available in Khao Lak town, near to beach. Good food options also available in town.

The town and beach are very safe for all.

The town is on main road so transport easily available including bus, which ply frequnently connecting major hubs like Phuket, Phuket air port and Surat Thani, centre of transport.

Recommend for all who really want to relax in a beautiful tranquil beach with no rush at all.

An offbeat station must...

I love this beach. It has not been ruined by tacky big expensive resorts. It retains it natural charm. It is good for swimming (in the dry season). If you go north towards Mai Khao it is pretty deserted. If you stay in the middle it has little street food stalls and restaurants on the beach, with Thai food (but it does not impose and ruin the beach). There are people around here but nothing like other beaches in Phuket. If you go south, it is quieter and pretty with moored long-tail boats. I am so glad I chose to stay close to this beach. There is a good supermarket close...

About 1-1.5 hour walk beach. From one end to another has many restaurants next to the beach to sit and chill. Among the bar, cafe and restaurants, you will find enough areas to sit with the front beach and behind palm trees.

The sand is mixed between smooth and bit harder sand. The water is clear and swim-able in most area. In some areas have rocks and might not be the ideal beach for swimming.

You will find a small channel where water from some water sauces come down to the sea.

I enjoy my morning walk while I stayed...
