Gold Elephant — Restaurant in Phang-nga Province

Very nice atmosphere and decor, service was excellent.... Very nice experience. One of the coolest restaurants in khaolak! Front door is already pretty cool, if you sit by the edge, you will see lot of koi swimming in a little pool... Making the place even more peaceful and enjoyable.

Food wise, they are using very very cool Thai style bowl and dish which makes the dish looks already delicious, price is reasonable but... The food itself I would expect them to be better. They put way too much coconut milk in the red curry for my Irish boyfriend as he asked for medium spicy hahaha and I had to put extra salt for my fried rice with vegetables, not much veggies I found on my dish =(...

But I would still recommend this place cuz I do love the atmosphere there and love their sweet service, good for couples and group. Even though I was not super happy with my fried rice the other night, I still wanted to go back and have a relaxing dining time there again! There was a local singer playing with his acoustic guitar and singing some nice English songs... Not loud at all and we were able to enjoy his singing while chatting with each other.

Sadly I have not brought my cell phone with me otherwise I would definitely take some pictures of this place and the moment I have with my love, we both love this place and spent a some times there drinking...

The food was so good yesterday that we’ve booked again for tonight. The manager owner welcomed us us personally even though we had no reservation and sent us next door too the bar as no table was available. Later we were collected, taken to the table (amply ventilated by fans to dispel 🦟 mosquitos ).

There is a good choice of mainly Thai food, but also adventurous dishes and some European dishes. However I have scanned the other diners tables and was happy to see that all the dishes appeared unique, not simply variations of the same dish.

I had roasted pineapple rice with chicken (strictly speaking not on the menu) and my partner had Phad Thai. Both excellent. The manager came by later, and suggested a sauce to add, which I did (no extra cost.) Best meal so far.

The staff were genuinely friendly and efficient. You only had to raise your eyebrow to get their attention. This is obviously a tightly run restaurant with a lot of experience and a plan to keep that consistency.
