Chaikanathani Hotel — Hotel in Phatthalung Province

My friend and I booked 2 rooms at this hotel on booking.com. Reservations went through ok and we had reservation booking numbers. At the time of booking, there were still rooms available at this hotel.||||When we arrived 3 days later (on bicycles as we are cyclng through SE Asia), the woman at the front desk told us she had cancelled our reservations and there were no rooms available. When we asked why our reservations were cancelled, she would give us NO reason other than "hotel is full". While we were sitting trying to reach booking.com, 5 people arrived in a van, all Thai Muslim women, and they checked into the hotel with no problem. Further, there were no cars parked in the front or back parking lot of the hotel. We suspect that our reservations were cancelled because of us being foreigners. Booking.com by the way did absolutely nothing and this hotel is still listed under booking.com. I would HIGHLY recommend people NOT book this hotel. We finally insisted upon the woman finding us another accomodations which after an hour, she did, although the place was far away from where we wanted to stay. We had ridden the bikes 145Km that day and well, we sure weren't in any mood to discover our reservation had...

The hotel was overall a pleasant surprise ...||I was a walk-in customers, .joining my work colleagues who were already staying there. Charging me BT 1000 for a room without breakfast is grossly overpriced for what you get ..this being low season. Well, i finally got the breakfast included but it took a while of negotiations ...by the way the Front Desk staff were friendly , corteous and professional !||||Nicely spaced room, bright and clean, but ...there is no excuse for having tattered spotty bedsheets! Unfortunately there are no electric sockets near your bedside table ..and whoever was the construction contractor ..to put the light switches and telephone cable outlet into the center of the back board of your bed ..this is simply crazy ...||||Wifi was free, and intermittent.||||The bathroom was spotlessly clean ! Took a while to figure out the shower control ..its the total reverse function of what you are normally used to ..so watch out not to get burned.||||The location of the hotel is convenient ...there is also a large carpark at the back of the hotel with security at night.||||There are two 7-11 convenient stores on the main road (direction Highway 4, about 1 km from...

The worst hotel in thailand that i stayed.. they had so much confiusion over the booking and assuming i was with another group. They staff was super unfriendly when we check in and did not even ask for our names and booking number.. the room we booked was unavailable and they had to find other rooms for us. 2 rooms in total. Worstly there was roaches in our room.. yucks.. just had to survive the night and say bye2 to the hotel since it was late.. would never recomend to anymore. Hotel seems to be not maintained well.. and train your staff for customer service as they are the face...
