It is a strange combination of youth hostel and hotel. It is a hotel, but the room (the single I was in) was dirty. Not like splooge all over the place, don't go barefoot, pay per hour dirty, but the walls were extrememly scuffed from people putting their feet on the walls and from luggage wheeles, there's also ants, some hair floating around that I know isn't mine, the sink, toilette, and shower seem to leak. But some how you can look passed that. On a scale of "gross I won't stay here" to "surgical theatre" it's a "Meh, I've been in worse and survived." The pluses, you do have your own bathroom, unlike a hostel, but if you are 5'9" or taller, be ready to pop a squat so you can shower. The BIG BIG BIG pluses are the free wifi and 24 hour restaurant. The restaurant has point and pick menus. Nice if you don't speak a lick of Thai. And the Wfi seems to be on the ground floor and the eighth. There is also a pool, but that doesn't matter to me. Another bonus is the drying bar outside the room window so you can dry clothes. Seems hokey, but I have utilized it so it is a plus in my book. There is also a shop right by the hotel. Haven't been, but it is there, so that is a plus. Over all, I can say is I have been in worse, but I have definitely have...
Read moreWe stayed two nights here and were quite happy with what we got.||I probably wouldn't recommend the area for the first time visitors to Bangkok, as it's some distance from the action, but if you have been to the city then both area and the hotel would be good choice. The subway station is 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel, so it is convenient for getting around.||The room was spacious enough and clean. They did tidy it up too and brought more complimentary stuff.||There are coin operated washing machines downstairs, so you can do your own laundry for 20-30 baht and dry it hanging outside the room window. I thought it was pretty good.||The only thing I didn't like is the restaurant downstairs - rude staff. Asked the guy there for a knife to cut watermelon - he rolls his eyes on you and then reluctantly gives it to you. And that's only one example.||Overall I found this place to be very comfortable to stay and would stay here...
Read more700m from a subway stop, 400m from a 24 hour supermarket and close to at least 2x 7- elevens. Pool is relaxing but a little dirty and not for little kids. Dangerous sides and no guardrails.
2/3 elevators didn't work while we were there. Concrete showers, clean beds, but dusty air conditioners.
Every night, the trash is left inside the lobby from around 5pm till 3-5 am or maybe the next day completely. Smells terrible. I asked for a recommendation for a good restaurant and the sense of smell-deficit non English speaking staff suggested I eat at the restaurant in house. No thanks. There are good restaurants around for 70-90 B per dish.
All in all... I would have to be paid a lot to stay there...
