Ganesha Temple, Huay Kwang! 🐘 Get ready to pay your respects to the elephant-headed god of good fortune, because this place is all about making wishes come true! ✨ Imagine a place where you can feel the positive vibes, admire the beautiful statues, and maybe even get a little lucky yourself! 🍀 Picture yourself offering flowers and incense, feeling the energy of the temple, and wondering if Ganesha is listening to your deepest desires (probably with a benevolent smile!) 🙏😊. You can make a wish, take some photos, and maybe even learn a thing or two about Hindu mythology, feeling like you've stepped into a scene from an epic mythological movie! 🎬🤩 However, let’s be honest, sometimes a "popular temple" can feel a bit like a real-life game of "dodge the crowds," where you're trying to find a quiet corner while also trying to avoid being photobombed 📸😅. And while the atmosphere is undeniably spiritual, you might also find yourself questioning your ability to resist the urge to buy all the lucky charms, especially if you're a sucker for anything that glitters ✨🛍️. Overall, Ganesha Temple in Huay Kwang offers a meaningful and memorable experience, a place where you can connect with your spiritual side, make a wish, and maybe even find a little good fortune, even if you sometimes feel like you’re participating in a synchronized prayer session with a hundred other...

Just that the queue is very disorganised especially for praying to Mushaka the Mouse.
We queued for more than 30minutes and suddenly it rained and everyone squeezed in for shelter. The queue was disrupted and somehow it formed a new queue. We were squeezed out of the queue. The local people told the security guard that we were not in the queue and the security guard just being biased to foreigners and told us to re-join the queue. VERY BIASED.
They should be more organised and better managed the queue system to prevent this from happening. We are tourists and we don’t speak Thai. One of the security guard wanted to pull as away when we were just explaining how we were squeezed out of the queue.
We were being respectful and try to explain ourselves nicely but the security guard just raised his voice and shouted at us all just because of what the locals told him.
If it’s just meant for the locals, then maybe they should put up signs for it.
Just felt they are super BIASED. We left without praying to Mushaka the Mouse. A super...
Read moreWe specially came from overseas to this Lord Ganesha Shrine to pay homage to him. This Shrine is located conveniently within a short walking distance from the Huai Kwang MRT. station. We were here on a Monday around noon and there were only a few devotees. There was a security screening of people and bags before entry into the Shrine. There are vendors next to the Shrine for devotees to purchase various offerings . Sadly they did not have any of Lord Ganesha's favourite snack for sale (Indian Ladoo - ลูกอมขนม" (luk om khanom). Please remember to purchase a token offering to Mushika the mouse who is Ganesha's vehicle and carries the prayers and wishes of devotees to Lord Ganesha. People often whisper their prayers and wishes into Mushika's ear, it will then convey them to Lord Ganesha. Sadly i witnessed a few individuals with their footwear around the immediate area within the Shrine. We removed our footwear immediately after the Security checks. Please be reminded that this is consecrated ground. We will be back in Bangkok soon to visit...
