Dear Golden Crown Grand Hotel Management,
I would like to provide some feedback on my recent stay at your hotel. While the hotel environment is comfortable and the location is conveniently close to Kim Yong Market, I must express my dissatisfaction with the service attitude of your front desk staff, which I believe requires significant improvement.
On the morning of our arrival (7:30 AM, Thailand time), we informed the security guard that we needed to store our luggage. The security guard requested to see my booking details, which I provided. Following this, the front desk staff handed me a list to confirm my booking. After verifying my name was on the list, the security guard helped arrange for our luggage to be stored. At that time, the front desk staff did not inform me of any need to sign any documents or complete any additional procedures.
We then left to explore the city and returned to the hotel around 12 PM to check in. At this point, I was attended to by a short-haired woman with a larger build at the front desk. In a rather accusatory tone, she informed me that I should have signed the necessary documents in the morning in order to check in at the designated time of 1 PM. After I completed the paperwork, she told me to wait until 1 PM or 1:30 PM to check in.
We waited patiently in the lobby until 1 PM, at which time I approached her again to inquire about the room. She then told me to wait until 1:30 PM. However, I noticed that other guests who arrived at the same time as us were allowed to check in earlier. I decided not to argue and continued waiting until 1:30 PM.
When I approached her again at 1:30 PM, she responded with an impatient expression and asked me to wait. She made a phone call and, without saying a single word to me, communicated directly with the security guard in Thai, instructing him to escort us to our room. This behavior was highly disrespectful and made me feel undervalued as a guest.
I strongly urge the management of Golden Crown Grand Hotel to address this issue and take steps to improve the professionalism and customer service attitude of your staff. Thank you for your attention to...
Read moreThe services provided by the hotel is really unacceptable. The receptionist was rude, unprofessional and does not even greet or smile when we were standing in front of her waiting to check into the hotel.
During the 5D4N stay, we were given complimentary breakfast. The service was very very bad. The food was served but we wasn't given any cutleries so when a lady walked out of the kitchen, I asked for cutleries and coffee as well. She then told me to sit and she got the waitress who served us to bring us the cutleries. 5 mins later, the waitress was still moving the tables and chairs and laying out the table cloths. So I walked to her and asked her politely again for the cutleries, she told me off and say "wait ka" and rolled her eyes and continued her job laying the table cloths. I was very mad by then, so I open the drawers and got the cutleries myself. She just stood there and stared at us without feeling apologetic or even ashamed that I have to do her job as a waitress. I have to even walked to the bar to get my coffee. The whole restaurant there were only 2 tables seated with only 4 customers but 3 waitresses!
The massage lady taking the booking at the lobby was hostile in her reply when we asked for time slot available for the 4 of us.
Overall experience was very disappointed, unpleasant and very unprofessional. The only good service we got during the stay there was given by the housekeeper. She was polite, professional and always smiling. Still this is not good enough to get...
Read morePro: Good service of most staff, esp security guard who helped to find nearby parking for hotel guests as carpark lots are severely limited at the hotel. Location is very convenient - near massage places, night market, Kim Yong Market, bird's nest shops, 7-11, Mcdonalds.Con: Long checking in process as receptionist seemed inexperienced or unsure about bookings from Trip.com. Severely limited carpark lots onsite. Moldy toilet ceilings. Rooms had strands of hair everywhere, and stuck on door knob. Rusty lamp shades. Musky smell upon entering the room. Sound proofing is bad, we could hear super clearly the housekeeping staff laughing and talking. Toilet ventilator did not work. Hot water comes on and off. Church service is held on Sunday from 10am to 12pm. It also clashes with checkout timing which they stated by 12pm sharp. Front office manager cannot communicate well and comes off rude.Notable observation: New testament and Mind Development books were placed on the bedside table in all rooms. We stayed at a few hotels in Hatyai and made some comparisons. You pay the extra for the good location but if you drive or are willing to walk 5-10min, there are many hotels in the vicinity that offer better service and comfort, and at a cheaper rate. We felt uncomfortable staying at this hotel and...
