Diamond Plaza Hotel — Hotel in Songkhla Province

My 4 days 3 nights stay at this hotel gave a rather unsatisfying experience, around 2.5/5 stars. On the second day, the housekeeper forgot to provide bath towels, and I had to walk to the reception counter at the ground level to request them. After waiting for 3 hours, there was still no sign of the towels being delivered. I went to the reception again and was told that housekeeping had already sent the towels — but to the wrong room. The phone in my room wasn’t working; there was a phone unit but no connection, which meant I had to go down to the reception for any requests. After my second complaint and waiting almost 10 minutes in the room, the towels were finally delivered.In terms of cleanliness and room condition — it was very run-down. The toilet door had holes. The comforter was very worn out and thin, offering no warmth at night under the air-conditioning.The location is good as it’s near the night market...

The hotel is terribly old. Welcome to stay if you keen to experience a new next-level of disaster! 1.The curtain was broken with multiple holes which don't provide good privacy and the table lamp was broken and fixed with plastic wrap (pls see pictures). 2.Poor Aircon control, only can control high or low in a super old way without indicating exact temperature. Low water pressure in high floor, can't bath properly as the water is sooo small. The flush of toilet n bathroom basin also got problem, can't flush well (mayb due to water pressure again) and leakage in bathroom basin. The bed is so fragile and have noise when you turned your body. They placed the mattress of extra bedding in front of the lift area, it's so unhygienic. Slow check in process as they are...

Reasonable but worn out hotel. Plus points: twin room on 4th floor was spacious, king-sized single beds, flat screen samsung TV, electric kettle, free coffee and bottled drinking water for two, free WiFi, safe box, buffet breakfast quite good (personal tastes) - toast, jam, butter, cereals, salads, fruits, eggs, boiled mini sausages, spaghetti and sauce, rice porridge with several toppings and condiments, char kuey tiaw, coffee, tea, juice & others, centrally located within the city.

Minus points: bathroom toiletries included only packet shampoo and soap bar, lightings in room and bathroom were dark, no bedroom slippers, only one electric socket conveniently available for use.
