Khao Sok Palm Garden Resort — Hotel in Surat Thani Province

My husband and I spent four nights at the Khao Sok Palm Garden Resort in January and we enjoyed very much our stay there. The bungalows scattered among palm trees provided lots of privacy. The bedroom was simple, aesthetic and extremely clean, and the sheets particularly soft and comfortable. In the morning we had breakfast on the lovely veranda while listening to birds and insects.||||The location of the resort was perfect - a pleasant short walk brought us to the Main Street (with plenty of possibilities for food and smoothies), and to the National Park. We often spotted a few monkeys on our way.||||Khao Sok National Park itself is very much worth the visit. We spent two days walking and swimming there. Another day, Chai, the owner of the Resort helped us book a trip to the fantastic Cheow Lan lake with visit to the Coral Cave. The boat landing for the lake trip is about an hour by car from Khao Sok village. The beauty of the landscapes seen during that day was breathtaking.||||Throughout our stay Chai and his wife were most helpful. They provided waterproof bags for the lake trip and lots of information about life in the region. I wish I had spent a couple more days at the Khao Sok Palm Garden Resort because I loved the rainforest and because Khao Sok felt so peaceful and somewhat less touristic than locations such as Bangkok, Krabi or Chiang Mai. We had an enjoyable stay of 2 nights.||We stayed in a very clean nice air-conditioned room, which was equipped with a small fridge, a good mattress and large bathroom with shower. ||The balcony had two comfortable rocking chairs, we spent a relaxing day reading and watching the chickens walking trough the garden.||||The small bungalows are situated in a beautiful well kept garden. ||There is a huge space between the bungalows and you are not disturbed by the neighbors. ||Khao Sok Palm Garden is a very quiet place.||||We are traveling with our own car and did not book any tours but you can book your trips to visit the National Park here in the hotel, when we arrived the owner mentioned this.||||The internet connection actually was not very strong and inside the room we had some difficulties, but on the balcony the access was better. The owner informed us he will improve the internet connection in the future.||We found the pillows on the bed too hard.||||The owners, a young very discreet couple, work very hard to keep the place very neatly and we have a lot of respect for them how they manage to have everything really nice.||Overall we can recommend Khao Sok Palm Garden if you can appreciate a quiet...
