I am writing this review based on my honest opinion. If you are looking for your next holiday destination, my experience might help. I also share some tourist traps that could be useful, especially for less experienced travelers.
I stayed here for one week in early September 2025. Strictly speaking, I would rate it 3/5, but since the holiday was inexpensive and the value for money excellent, I give it 4/5. If you are used to top 5-star hotels, you may be disappointed. For families with small children or guests not seeking luxury, this hotel is a very good choice.
Positives:👍 The staff were outstanding (10/10), always friendly, fast, and polite.👍 The food was a highlight: varied, with national dishes, meat, vegetarian options, and many desserts. 👍Security was reliable with 24/7 guards. 👍The grounds looked like a huge botanical garden, very clean and well maintained. 👍There is a small shop with essentials. 👍Evening entertainment was offered daily with shows, live music, competitions, and a disco. 👍The beach is not the most beautiful, but these Beach section is one of the better ones between Nabeul and Hammamet. 👍The Shisha bar was excellent with friendly service and a wide choice of tobacco. 👍Room cleanliness was very good, with daily cleaning and towel sculptures when tipping.
Negatives: 👎Our room in the main building was older, with a broken bathroom door and safe. The air conditioning worked but was noisy at night. 👎At the start, dishes in the dining hall were not properly cleaned, though this improved. 👎The mattresses only had thin sheets that slipped at night – not hygienic, a topper was missing.👎👎👎 Too few sunbeds at the pool: unless you reserved one early, you had no chance. I find this selfish and prefer hotels that remove towels. 👎Sunbeds, cushions, and poolside tables were not properly cleaned. 👎Pool water was usually fine but sometimes murky, especially in the slide pool and quiet pool. 👎The beach itself could have been better maintained. 👎Horses are allowed on the beach, which looks nice but is unhygienic as urine and excrement end up in the sand and water, and it is not safe. 👎No beach bar. 👎Fruit drinks at the beach stand tasted sour and spoiled. 👎Coffee machines were available, but the one near the Aquapark pool made terrible coffee, likely with tap water. 👎The hotel is also outside Hammamet, so you always need a taxi to get into town.
Tips: About 10 minutes on foot is the Scorpion Shopping Center 👍(next to Flamingo Café) – fixed prices, pleasant atmosphere for women, good quality, and great Tunisian cosmetics. 👍Further along is Anouar Market, a cheap local supermarket. Watch out for tourist traps: 👎beach vendors often add up to 500% – normal bargaining there, but for us it feels like a rip-off.👎👎👎👎👎 One taxi ordered through the hotel was part of a scam: the driver called an accomplice who pretended to be a hotel cook and led us to a shop instead of the fortress. Very disappointing, as I expected reliable taxis from the hotel. Warning: 👎Many taxi drivers cooperate with street vendors in Hammamet and try to lure inexperienced tourists. In Tunisia this seems normal, but for us it is simply a scam. A fair price from the hotel to Hammamet Center (fortress) is 15–20 dinars – always agree...
Read moreWe stayed with my friend at Hammamet Beach Hotel from April 19 to April 26, organized by Exim Tours. Reception and organizational issues The arrival was quite smooth, we received the room keys immediately, but unfortunately, the room was dirty, and the shower was in terrible condition. There was a man at the reception who was not competent enough to help us. Huge thanks to Samira, who really tried to help us and find a replacement. In the new room, there was no hairdryer. At 3 p.m., I asked to provide one, they said it would be brought. At 10 p.m., I went to ask again, and they told me there was no one available today to solve the problem. After about 20 minutes of discussion, we spoke to the hotel manager/director, and he finally resolved everything perfectly Summary: Thanks for giving us the best room we could get, but it cost us a lot of nerves. Animation team The entire team was simply amazing. Iman, who leads the animation team, is not only an elegant, beautiful woman but also a true professional. Ryan (the DJ) — he creates incredible music, has an unreal voice and taste; the parties with him were some of the best of my life. Blacky (animator) is a wonderful person who took care of us, making sure we weren’t bored, as we were the only English-speaking guests at the hotel. He explained everything in detail and did his best to make us feel comfortable. All the animation team they are really good and they work hard, thank you Food The food was very tasty, everyone could find something they like. Sea/Pool We traveled off-season, so it was a bit chilly, but we knew that in advance, so there are no complaints. Moreover, there was an indoor heated pool. Conclusion I would definitely come back again — but only if the same animation team is there, because they create an...
