Baia Beach Hammamet — Restaurant in Maghreb

We didn't read the reviews before going, maybe we should have. Reserving was easy, but open arrival we had people screaming from across the street if we had a reservation. I simply thought I was getting catcalled. We felt "observed" as two tourist women in bikinis throughout whole day by the waiters working there. They also refused to speak to us in French even though we clearly spoke French to them directly and kept forcing a broken English whilst making jokes. We ordered the mussels and they tasted bland and weren't even fully cooked. Fries not included. At least there were no jellyfish in the sea, the only positive point of this review. When we asked for the bill, they asked us card or cash before we even got to see the amount. We'd recommend carrying a huge wad of cash just in case. They also kept converting to euros the amount before giving us the bill and talking in Arabic between them. The cushions on the sun beds were simply not comfortable at all. This place looks expensive but it's simply mediocre. Additionally, they also marketed on their Instagram that there was DJ the whole day. I'm still waiting for him to show up...

Awful experience. We made a reservation at 10 am which was confirmed. The person on the phone said the kitchen will open after 12 which we were okay with as we wanted to go for the morning period only since we have plans for later. We reached 10 am sharp so many people kept asking us if we have a reservation which is annoying. Then we wanted to order coffee and water but the waiter told us the guy who works in the bar and makes coffee is having breakfast asked to wait 30 mins. Obviously the 30 minutes because 1 hr and they couldnt even allow us order water at least (in heat if July). finally he got us water when ee kept asking. we then went for parasailing and when we came back it was time for us to leave so we asked for bill. The water got the payment for the water and then while leaving started throwing comments : dont stay for long. it was disrespectful as it kinda meant if you re not ordering things you dont get ti be here but is it iut kistake that yiu dont have your bar and coffee staff ready ? Vereeery unprofessional...

Biggest scam ever , the food was not good at all ! The prices of the cocktail were crazy mind you they were not even good , to be fair they were really bad ❤️ !! I do not recommend this place at all . Cherry on top , when we told the manager that we received the wrong cocktail ( everything but a martini) he was so aggressive towards us , what a lovely way to treat your customers 🥰. In conclusion go there if you like store bought food , tasteless drinks and to be treated...
