Hotel Stay Review – August 9 to 15, 2025|We visited this hotel three years ago and had a much better experience back then. Unfortunately, this time the stay was disappointing and did not meet expectations. We booked 3 rooms (2 guests per room) plus an additional guest for a couple of days, paying almost £2400 for an all-inclusive stay.|Service & Treatment|We noticed a clear difference in treatment between Arabic guests and non-Arabic guests. Staff appeared more hospitable and attentive to non-Arabic guests, who received benefits we did not. At times, our requests were ignored by some staff members.|The beach attendant who organizes the seating under the umbrellas would immediately prepare chairs and deck chairs for non-Arabic visitors, but if you were Arabic, he would ignore you until you asked multiple times — and even then, he would only assist after serving non-Arabic guests first.|At the beach bar, when we asked for soft drinks, the staff member refused, claiming he served only alcoholic drinks there. However, this was not true — we saw him serving soft drinks to foreign (non-Arabic) guests.|Food & Drinks|Coffee was of very poor quality.|Tea was essentially hot water with mint — not good.|Juices were low quality.|Food variety existed but most dishes were not tasty.|Same salads served every single day for a week.|Some dishes were not fresh or well-prepared.|Plates in the service room and restaurant were often dirty — we had to check each one before use.|The restaurant cleaning staff were polite and tried their best, but hygiene still fell short.|Cleanliness & Maintenance|Room cleaning was insufficient — dust everywhere, likely due to too few cleaning staff.|The tools and equipment in the rooms were old and had visible stains.|Bathroom towels were stained, in some cases not properly clean, and very old — yellowed from overuse and excessive chlorine.|Common bathroom in the reception was often out of order and dirty.|Diffuser and tools in public areas were not working.|The lift was not functioning correctly, and there was no electrical certification plate showing the last or next verification date, which is a legal requirement in Tunisia.|The entrance area had multiple spider nests.|Entertainment & Staff Conduct|Animation team was unprofessional, often harassing foreign guests (particularly young women), and the activities were boring.|Language skills among the entertainment staff were poor, making activities less engaging.|Covered pool lifeguards were polite, professional, and stood out positively compared to others.|Overall|This hotel has declined significantly compared to our previous visit. While a few staff members were kind and tried their best, overall service, cleanliness, food quality, and maintenance were well below the standard expected for the price paid., I would strongly recommend looking at other hotels that offer better value and...
Read moreRooms were good and clean. The rest of the hotel was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. We had a fridge and all towels in the room we stayed in. The hotel states that there is a car park. There is not a car park at the hotel. As you drive through the gate for the hotel there is a ring road but no marked bays to park in. Everyone had dumped there cars either side of this ring road and left them. The sheltered marked bays are all chained and padlocked and apparently used for staff only. Although there were two spaces that were kept locked the whole night and the next day and left empty. Some people had to find parking out on the street. We booked to have breakfast and dinner included in the price. The price was a fair price. The restaurant was a buffet where you help yourself. They had a variety of food to eat from although the other people staying in the hotel stacked up their plates full of food and ended up wasting plates full. This caused the buffets to have a lack of food causing waiting times for the food to be cooked and replaced. The dessert buffet was the same as the minute people walked into the restaurant they filled plates full of desserts and wasted a lot of it but left the buffet empty causing waiting times for others. They had the animation for the children later on in the evening to keep them entertained. Walking distance from the beach and surrounding restaurants and cafes and shops. Breakfast was nice in the morning. When leaving the hotel the next day we had until 12:00 check out. We went to reception to hand back to keys for the room and an older man behind the reception told us to wait for some sort of check out paper. He was taking too many keys and writing down numbers on papers but then messed it all up and had everyone crowded waiting in the reception. He told everyone that no one can leave the hotel gate without this check out paper. We waited for about 30minutes and everyone was getting very frustrated. Some people handed the keys back and got handed the check out paper straight away to leave while he left others standing in reception waiting. The man was rude when talking to the customers. We did not wait any longer and we ended up walking out to the car. Along the way the security kept telling us that he won’t allow us out until we got our check out paper and held us inside the car park. I am pregnant myself and just wanted to get out of the hotel as this was now about an hour later. It took the manager of security to walk back to the reception to get our check out paper the walk back and give it to the security on the gate to let us out. This was a silly way of checking people out and making people wait unnecessarily. This really put a downer on this trip to this hotel. Everything else was good apart from the parking and the fact the hotel would not let...
Read moreChecking in was an extremely long process. The receptionist required us to fill out a few forms but only had 1 pen and would not let me and my family borrow it. She made us go hunt for a pen. Once we checked in, reception called us back downstairs advising we need to pay an extra fee because apparently we didn’t pay the tax at the time of payment. The room had a nice pool/beach view but had very old and outdated furniture. We had the all inclusive package and the food selection was a joke. That’s what I imagine food in jail to be like. We were fed the same thing almost everyday and most of the food was reheated and not fresh. Service at the bar was extremely terrible. The staff made us feel like we were inconveniencing them every time we ordered a drink. There was an argument over WATER… the hotel provides 2 free water bottles per room during the day. A family came a few minutes after 11pm to request their water bottle for the day and they made it an issue. They also water down all of your drinks and it’s as if they don’t own a freezer or ice. We were eating days old food and drinking hot drinks in the blazing heat. The pool however was nice, big and relaxing. The temperature could have been more on the cold side though. The beach was nice too. Upon checking out they held us hostage and would not provide us the passes needed for our cars to leave the hotel until they checked out our rooms that we were staying in. Overall an extremely poor stay. Would not recommend and will never be visiting again. Book at your own risk. Rating: - 1 Star. Needs many...
