Right, as a 17 year old female travelling with her family; this place itself is alright considering it is a 3 star hotel. To begin with, the rooms are standard rooms that have every necessity you may need unfortunately it does lose a few points for having an air conditioner that either works and blows dust and warm air if you’re lucky or it doesn’t actually work. Another disadvantage would be that the hotel rooms do not actually have a hair dryer that you can use like getting out the pool or coming back from The beach the hotel did not have a fridge which was also a massive inconvenience considering the rooms were big enough for a good sized fridge. I did notice one or two stains on the pillow covers but other than that the rooms were okay. Now for the service; the service was alright some staff were really nice and helpful like the chef toumi (bald guy) in the bar he was amazing and so was his food we felt so welcomed and comfortable around him. The other staff were the cleaners they were so nice and welcoming too as well as this lady at the reception normally has her hair in a pony tail. Unfortunately this hotel does need major updating as they do have outdated carpets when walking to your rooms and much more. As a female walking in sousse or around the hotel area and the beach I did feel quite uncomfortable because of the men they like to stare a lot in a perv way. I did also get shouted out by a staff the lady in the indoor pool she was disgusting and unprofessional on how she spoke my parents had to shout at her. Either way the hotel does lack a few pointers because of the beach; localist surround and hog the beach area and some of the stare you down. I feel like they should block off a bit of the beach for the people who actually stay at the hotel. The photos also lied as there was no sunbeds by the beach or pool non existent. My parents were angry as we were expecting good breakfast which actually looked appealing but all we saw was slop and stale cereal which was inedible. The men perved over me the whole time we were there including my mum and my YOUNGER SISTER!!! In conclusion the hotel needs serious updating and to just fix everything to MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THE PHOTOS. I apologise for the long essay but I just wanted to give an honest review. Me and my family had an amazing time in sousse but the hotel was just a serious let down. This includes trash and rubbish just being dumped everywhere; being outside greeted with the stench of sewage, the photos of the hotel being a lie, people smoking cigarettes inside doors includes us passive smoking the whole time we were there leading the place to just reek...
Read moreThis hotel is a great place for travellers who know what exactly they want. It isn't one of those expensive 4* or 5* hotels with many bells and whistles. The best thing about Dreams Beach is its location right on the El Menchia beach in Hammam Sousse which is a suburb of Sousse. You literally walk out of the hotel and get to the sea in a minute. The beach is municipal, so there are many locals, but the hotel has a reserved area with a cafe there. Nice sand and not so deep water good for children as well as adults. There is also a small outer pool in the hotel which is useful when the sea is rough or cold. Doesn't happen often though. The pool is free including sunbeds.||||The hotel's interior is good. The hotel's staff was helpful and friendly overall. Free Wi-Fi works only in the hall, so you better buy a local prepaid SIM card with a good data package. 4G LTE worked just fine. The rooms are modern with flat TVs, but there are no fridges. When you walk in your room, you put your key in the wall slot to enable electricity. Clean bathroom. Daily room service. The only problem is noise. There is a large building nearby with apartments for rent, and each of them has an air conditioner with an outdoor unit. Those are old and very, very noisy. Get used to sleeping with windows closed.||||There are two restaurants with bars in the hotel. One on the ground floor and another on the last floor. Only the former worked when we were there. The cuisine is somewhat simple and kind of expensive, so you better get acquainted with restaurants on the Route de la Plage where this hotel is located. There are many to choose from, the food quality and service are very good, and the prices are affordable. There is also a Monoprix grocery store on Avenue 14 Janvier nearby. You probably want to buy bottled water there because tap water isn't really safe to drink in Tunisia.||||Transportation is easy. You can get anywhere by a taxi, though there are also many small buses. The least expensive yet quite comfortable way to get around is by a municipal bus of Société de transport du Sahel. It costs only 0.43 TND for a one way ride to the medina of Sousse.||||There is no entertainment in the hotel, but if you can find your way around, you don't need it either. The locals speak Arabic and French, so you may have issues getting by with just English. The French has no official status in Tunisia, but it's...
