(Stayed during a Ciconia tour in November 2024)
Stay was at a pleasant hotel. I took advantage of The spa services which I will go into detail. I was located on the 7th floor and had a very nice view of part of the city.
Upon entering the room it was spacious, clean and nice. There were carpets throughout except for in the bathroom area. You can't control the temperature in your room. It shows you can but I was never able to cool my room to anything other than extremely warm and stifling. I understand it's that time of year but they don't understand that some people don't enjoy stifling warm rooms when you're a woman of a certain age.
The shower water was basically consistent in temperature but wasn't 100% consistent with pressure. The attached shower head was broken so could only use the overhead rain shower which didn't put out much pressure. Had separate shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Bath had lotion and bar hand soap. No extra amenities were in the bathroom.
An issue I had was there were slippers provided but I did notice a lack of a robe. Why a hotel would have a health club with massage and pool and not provide a robe is a little beyond me. Therefore I had to show up to both my massage spa appointment and again when I went to use the pool - in my street clothes. I've stayed in lower quality hotels that included robes.
The beds were comfortable and provided four pillows for a single bed. TV was nice sized for the room. They only provided 4 decaf coffee so I wasn't able to enjoy a cup of coffee. They also only had a couple packets of each kind of sugar. The kettle appeared clean but because I didn't get an opportunity to have coffee I honestly didn't check inside. Only a kettle is provided.
Something that stood out was the fact that you either had to have all the lights on or all the lights off - there weren't any separate lights to control each room. The bathroom lights are either all on or all off - same for the entry/bedroom all seem to be on only 1 on/off control.
The Spa: I would like to add that my experience at the spa was very mixed. I went down and dealt with a young man who could not have been nicer! So accommodating, understanding and friendly. Knowing that I was from America he made sure I was comfortable and understood how the process worked and might be different from what I was used to. However the young lady that I dealt with When I went to access the pool was not nice. She was not understanding and seem to give me a lot of attitude. The differences in attitude between the two could not have been more stark. The massage room was clean as well as the pool and hot tub areas. The provided chair cushions could definitely use a cleaning and looked a bit dingy.
I had both dinner and breakfast in the hotel. Dinner is a plated meal which was not horrible but the drinks were extremely overpriced for the quality. The breakfast seemed plentiful and I rather enjoyed the odd display of desserts. There didn't seem to be any ability to order off the buffet such as an omelet. The only coffee that I could find was from a machine which tasted about how you would expect.
Overall I did enjoy the hotel. If I was to return in the area chances are likely that I would reuse the same hotel if I was looking for a Hilton hotel.

Read moreUpdate here, Older review is at the bottom and still valid.
After nearly 3 weeks of staying here, one ongoing issue that bothers me is the lack of control over cigar smoke.
I'm staying in a non-smoking room/floor.
There is a opening near air conditioning pipes behind the meshed screen (vent) which is open (I've checked 3–4 rooms of different types, and they all have the same setup).
If someone smokes in nearby rooms, the smell surprisingly gets pulled into your room through this vent.
I’ve already changed rooms once, but the issue continues to arise from time to time. Unfortunately, changing rooms isn’t a convenient solution—and I haven’t seen any clear signage warning guests that smoking on non-smoking floors can affect others.
Because of this, I’m lowering my rating from 5 stars to 4.
I believe this is partially due to the age of the building, although it may be possible to implement better procedures to hold guests accountable when they break the rules.
Initial review is below. ———————————————
I chose to stay at this hotel due to its proximity to the Tunali area and initially planned a three-week stay. After spending one week here, I can confidently say the experience has been largely positive.
The location is excellent—extremely safe, surrounded by several consulates, and often accommodating high-profile guests. This adds a reassuring level of security and exclusivity to the stay.
The staff are outstanding—professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A special mention goes to Ataberk, whose professionalism, in-depth knowledge, and thoughtful guidance have been truly impressive. He consistently goes above and beyond to assist guests and ensure they feel well-informed and comfortable throughout their stay.
I'd also like to acknowledge another team member whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch—always smiling and radiating a warm, friendly energy that brings a sense of joy to the atmosphere. Both individuals significantly contribute to the overall positive experience.
While the breakfast selection is more limited compared to the JW Marriott (where I hold Gold status), it still provides a pleasant and sufficient start to the day. The staff working in the dining area are consistently helpful and professional—maintaining a clean, organized space and ensuring guests have everything they need. Their attentive service adds to the overall comfort of the morning experience.
Self-parking is available on-site, (it is not in a covered area).
One aspect that stood out positively was the management's professionalism. When I raised a concern about the room, they responded quickly and effectively, resolving the issue with care and efficiency. Their commitment to guest satisfaction was clear and much appreciated.
The housekeeping team does an excellent job maintaining cleanliness. While one team member's overly friendly approach felt slightly uncomfortable at times, it was clearly well-intentioned, and overall, the staff have been courteous and...
