Buyer beware! I was placed in this hotel, because the original hotel that I booked, double booked us. I can't speak badly about the check in clerk, he was a sweetheart. This rating does not reflect him. I'm at a crossroads when it comes to rating the location. Yes, it is on Uzungol Lake. However, I do not recommend staying anywhere near the lake. I was expecting a quiet stay and it was the complete opposite. The lake is more like a cheapy bazaar or a mini downtown, rather than a serene vibe. It's flooded with entitled visitors from the Gulf Regions who have zero consideration for others. The room has zero air conditioning. You have to sleep with the windows open to the sound of honking horns and loud music and the smell of cigarette smoke and pollution from the cars. Upon entering the room, it smells like gasoline and mold. It is the oldest and filthiest room with broken bathroom fixtures and furniture. The bathroom water is leaking everywhere. The furnishings are full of cigarette Burns. One of the bathroom doors will not open all the way because it hits the toilet. The smell of mold makes your head spin. The beds are uncomfortable as hell. You can hear the people above you walking all night. It's supposed to be a no smoking facility, however there is absolutely smoking happening in the hotel. We were supposed to stay for 2 days. I wish we didn't have to stay even one day. The only reason that we stayed one night was out of disparity and lack of vacancy in the area after an extremely long day of travel. We couldn't wait for morning to come to get the hell out of there. There is no room service or any way to contact the front desk unless you walk down and speak to them. There's WiFi but it's choppy. They will park your car for you . Yes, there's a narrow view of the lake, but that's after having to overlook the roof thats full of the garbage that the upper floors toss down. Also, the upper floors can completely look into your room, which defeats the purpose of keeping the curtains open to see the lake. Don't stay here even...
Read moreJust come back from a trip by our personal car to Turkey. We took Ozkan Otel by chance. The receptionist was a good man. Although he could not speak English; but no problem to me, as I could speak a little bit Turkish. He helped us to carry our luggages to second floor. |The hotel does not serve breakfast. We got everything needed for breakfast from a grocery store in a 50 m distance to the hotel. |The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and tidy. |You can not expect to have facilities like a 5 star hotel. But you have basic things in a good order. |We were in the 2nd floor. The hotel does not have a lift. But no problem for us. |We were happy with the hotel overally. We will come back to the hotel again, although in case we decide to take a room with the lake view. However, I recommend the visitors of Üzüngöl to stay far from the lake, near the river, just to stay away from noises and mosquitos. Remember that most of the hotels there do not have a net on their windows to...

Everything was clean and tidy.|Value was good for Uzungöl. Breakfast in the adjoining restaurant was an adequate and typical plated Turkish breakfast. Food and drink prices in the restaurant were expensive for the items served.|Özkan Otel is a short walk from many restaurants, shops and bars. A central spot to stay in this extremely...
