Koz Marigold Apart Hotel — Hotel in Çeşme

I booked a hostel style room through booking.com and the room specified that there were closets and safes in the room. There were no closets to put your belongings or lugguage just broken kitchen cabinets where the staff told me I can put my things when I asked about a place to store my lugguage. The safes are very small and not in the rooms they do not fit a laptop. The staff offered that they would keep my laptop with them when I am out, but there should be a place in the room to put all my things. The room is very small with 8 beds so you barely have space to walk. When I arrived the room was dirty and there was sand on the floor and the bathroom was dirty with little insects in the garbage can which was full of used female hygienic pads and seemed not to be changed for at least a week as it smelled terrible so I had to ask a member of staff to remove it. Another guest was in the same room and i came in to find her smoking and the room reeked of smoke. I went to the staff and they told me that smoking is allowed in the rooms and that I should try to reach an agreement with the girl. I had had enough by that time and was not going to stay in a place with such poor service and poor cleanliness standards at 1 AM I went out onto the street to find a different place to stay then took my lugguage and left. I have been there with my family 2 Weeks ago, staying for about 1 Week. In my humble opinion, this was so nice. It is quite a nice and silent area around this "otel", and still youd be in the centre within 7-10 minutes by foot.

They welcomed us so heartly, it was so welcoming. We had so many nice smalltalks, but also about generel stuff, world and politics. They definitely respect privacy, but if you open up a little bit, you feel very comfortable. It was joyable talking with all of them.

The rooms we stayed in were pretty clean, we had two balconies with hanging lines to hang your clothes there, which is kind of cute. The rooms even do have AC's!

Every morning they offer a nice morning buffet from 08.00am to 11.00am. They also tell you when the buffet is about to be closed and let you take some more, before they take it away.

The stuff also offers to wash clothes and dry them before giving them back, which was so important to us.

Whenever we needed anything the main receptionist was always there, and also all his other collegues were so friendly and always helpful.

This is an aparthotel with street parking available depending on availability. The staff were very friendly, kind, and helpful. The location is excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from the city center. The rooms are small and the beds unfortunately uncomfortable. Aside from the beds, the floor, toilet, and shower appeared visually unclean due to heavy wear and tear, so a renovation is urgently needed.
