I stayed for a long time here, my room was not much soundproof, the highway under my window is not good, I heard cars and honks all the time. Rooms are clean and smells great, also looks on point. The bed is quite big and comfortable, but the pillows are terrible. Staff is quite nice, but in whole hotel is like one person which can speak english really bad, except the manager. In my opinion in 5 star hotel English speaking staff is a must. The food is awful, I had bad diarrhea from their pasta. If you wanna ask something about the food, they don’t understand, so you have to try your luck and just order it. Breakfast is nothing special, but not that bad. The steaks are also not good, it is just piece of meat, not steak… No one asked how I want my steak, they just gave me two pieces of meat dry as hell. Wifi is slow and in my room there was no wifi signal at all and it took them almost a week to check it. Also the room card was almost every time not working… The cleaning man was every time pursuing me and every day was waiting for some money, even he didn’t cleaned my room. The safe on my room was not working, so I had to be worried about the stack of money I had with me. Prices there were ridiculous. I enjoyed my stay in three star Ibis hotel thousand times more. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, to any European person, for us this was like 2 star hotel in nice building, next time I will definitely...
Read moreWe (me and my colleagues) travel frequently to Gaziantep for business and usually stay at a specific hotel. This time, we stayed at the Grand Hotel. The check in was fine, no problem, and the room is Ok nothing to complain about.||Next day, me and my colleagues wanted to have lunch, so we went to the (Only) available restaurant at the 12th floor, there was a small group of people (+/- 20) having lunch. We asked the waiter/ Captain for lunch, he said no... No lunch, this is only for a group. You have to go to the first floor (Bar lounge). We went there, two waitresses, who don't speak any English were there. No guests. We asked for the menu, which was in Turkish. We tried to make them understand that we want anything to eat as we had a meeting in one hour time. No understand... we said even a salad...what do you have.... nothing... Finally we understood her saying yes...yes.. Salad... Cucumber, carrots, and lettuce. We said Ok.||When she came few minutes later, we were surprised to see a plate with some lettuce, in the middle a glass (usually used for wine) with some carrots and cucumber sticks like for Cocktail parties. and that's it. I missed taking a picture... so we left without eating. During our stay, we had lunch and dinners outside.||Breakfast buffet very poor.||No need to mention other...
Read moreI was in the hotel for one night with my partner. The service and place was ok. Except that two hours after we left in the morning I realize I forgot a very precious bracelet. Not worth more than 50 euros, but with a lot of meaning for me. I immediately call the hotel thinking that for sure it is at the reception, as the room has been cleaned. The bracelet is not there , they are unable to anything, and when I keep telling them it is impossible it disappeared, that is clearly one of their staff members that stole it, and that I remember exactly where I left it, they just kept answering the same dumm answer "we looked everywhere we couldn't find t". They literally, manager included and in particular , repeated the same phrase for 10 minutes and pretended they weren't understanding what I was saying. The only attempted reaction is that the manager said that their staff is there for 1t years, even worse !! I eventually went there in person. When it was clear they were not intention to clarify the fact, I asked a recompensation in cash. In a luxury hotel is the Least. They staff members steal from the client, at least you should provide for the value of what was stolen. They laughed at my face and said no way. So yeah ,if you go there watch out...
