We booked the hotel last minute as were unable to get the one we were recommended. Before going I contacted the hotel to arrange a transfer. The man at reception who answered said he could see I was calling from abroad and he would call me on my whatsapp to save me money. It seemed a bit dodge already. He then organised a transfer for me. It seemed expensive but he insisted it was a better deal then I would get myself from the airport. He sent me pics of the they taxi driver coming to collect me standing next to a cab with Nobel written on it. Basically the guy ended up not being a legal taxi driver but some dodgy guy who borrows his dads cab! It was a very awkward journey and the guy at reception asked us to him directly when we got there so obviously took a cut of it. We avoided both the guy at reception and the dodge driver the rest of the trip. We paid 220TL for our pickup. Going back with a proper taxi we paid 170TL. The room was comfortable and very clean but was a smoking room (we aren’t smokers so no idea why they put us there) and all our clothes stunk of cigarettes as a result. Also there was a wedding or party on every Sat and Sun in the hotel. We were on the 2nd floor so could hear it all! They stop at midnight but if you want an early night make sure you ask to be placed further away!||There was a wonderful lady in reception called Esin (see pics) who was super friendly and full of great tips! She recommended food places, an option and was always smiling. The breakfasts were delightful! The best crispy rolls I’ve ever had! So much option even if you aren’t a meat eater! We ordered room service a few times and the hotel meals are ok but it’s so much cheaper and nicer to eat out and the hotel is surrounded with lovely authentic restaurants. Taxis are cheap and easy to use. If you Turn right as you exit the hotel and walk up the road you are only 10-15mins from the train station and where the mini buses and coaches stop so easy to travel to Tarsus and Adana if you want to venture out. The pier is a...
Read moreIt's easy to rate a hotel highly when you are pleasantly surprised by good service and high standards. But when you arrive expecting these things there is a tendency to nitpick and under-rate.|I arrived at the Nobel Otel with no reservation after choosing it from a short list near me on a Tuesday evening. The staff was professional, friendly and helpful. The room single room was large comfortable and stocked. The shower was hot and breakfast was delicious. I expected all of this and the rate was €60. A bit higher than the other hotels in the area, but the hotel's photos persuaded me this was a legit 4 star.|I...
Read moreA great place for family where you can find almost everything around . Also, the whole staff is really friendly ( for example a)Mrs.Zeyneb in the reception area who is trying her best to help the customers.b) kitchen staff c) cleaning staff..etc ) . The only thing that I would recommend to make some changes in the breakfast variety means not to have the same...
