ELYSEE GARDEN FAMILY HOTEL — Hotel in Alanya

First of all the rooms were not suitable at all. When we first arrived there was no travel cot as stated we would have. We finally got a travel cot but instead of a mattress it was a piece of foam that was far too small for it so they have us pillows to fill in the missing but which was no good as my baby just pulled the out and banged her head on the bar underneath the cot on numerous occasions. There was only air conditioning in one of the bedrooms which made the apartment far too hot for my children to sleep. The floors were that dirty we had back feet and I couldn't let my 10 month old baby down to crawl the whole week we were there. We had no bath just a tiny shower which was no good for the children as I couldn't fit in with them and when the door was open the bathroom flooded, plus a shower is not suitable for a baby. My son had a nose bleed the first morning we were there and it was on the toilet, floor and pillows, I did a rough clean of it but the whole week there was still blood on side of toilet as they never cleaned it properly and even though they gave fresh sheets he still has blood on pillow case for 4 days after. One day when our bed got changed they put a stained and dirty sheet on it. To top of all the problems in the rooms one of the day's the electricity went off in the whole hotel for an hour just as everyone was getting ready to go out for tea at night. ||||The food was absolutely disgusting to the point where nobody would eat any of it including the children. When we did try to eat some food the meatballs were still raw inside them.. We had to eat out every meal and were running out of money so ordered takeaway to our hotel a good few times. My partner has barely ate anything but crisps the whole time there to make sure me and the children ate. As we were all inclusive we only brought money with us to do excursions but only went to the water park as we booked that on our first day, if we had known all our money was going on food we wouldn't of went. ||||The whole hotel was a problem. The lift was that tiny I couldn't even fit in it with anyone else but the baby in her pram which is not good for a family hotel. The slide looked great at first until we noticed a crack in it, the slide was on at 10-4 for the first few days then they changed the times so it went off for an extra hour inbeteeen. When we asked about it were told it was automatic and went off at 12-1which I know was lies ad it never got turned back on until 1.45 one day. As we had no money for days out that was all we could do was spent the day around the pool. There was also no life guard around the pool which there should of been as my partner has to save a little boy from drowning and it was scary to see. The bar at the pool side barely ever had ice for the drinks and as for the ice creams the freezer was completely empty which upset the kids. ||||The wifi states it available at public areas which wasn't the case it was only available when you were right up at the reception desk and that's when wifi was actually working. You were lucky if you could even connect for 2 minutes a day. The chairs at the seating area stunk and we didn't know why until we seen the staff one night in a room sleeping on the floor on top of the cushions of the chairs. At the back of hotel there was rabbits and birds you could go to see which sounded lovely until you went and there was a dead bird, the rest of the birds had no space to fly about and the rabbits looked infected they were that dirty and skinny and the water they has to drink from was black slime as it clearly was never changed. ||||The staff were very rude to everyone. The first night we got there we had just got the children settled and were on our balcony and were told by staff to be quiet. Another night we had a few drinks left on the table and the staff were just standing over our table waiting for us to go then at 11.20 we were told to go to our bed even though we had only has a few drinks for the all inclusive but there was other people were still there who were paying for drinks still getting served. This was really unfair. The staff were also trying to charge us more for Turkish baths as we got told one about by the man doing it but another member of staff told us a lower amount and then again the first guy told us another amount. I'm glad they did though as if not we would of had it first day them has less money for food. ||||As for the entertainment, it was just a disgrace. We were told when we booked that there was a kids club for ages 5 and over. The kids club was just a little shed that the door was always locked with nobody there. When we looked inside it it was just plastic chairs that had been thrown over with the legs broke on them. There was a playground beside it but it looked like it was about to fall apart so the children couldn't play on that either. There was entertainment one night, the kids part of it lasted 10 minutes and they got a belly dancer that was rubbish and then a fashion show that was so boaring. Other nights as we had no money left to go anywhere the children sat colouring in with books we took for the flight as there was literally nothing else for them to do. ||||The night before we came home the manager basically told me to stop complaining and he would be glad when we leave.||||PLEASE AVOID...

we arrived on holiday the 24th of June got dropped off at the wrong hotel we thought to find out that elysee garden was not open! Due to not enough booking so they just shut it down not even thinking about the people that had booked there holiday there. We were then taken to elysee hotel, we arrived around 2am and shown to a room by the bell boy and what a mess there was dust everywhere, bugs in the room, air con didn't work, no batteries in tv remote or aircon remote. Went back down to reception complaining about the room and was told I had to stay in it until the manger is back in the morning. we were so tired by this time we just went to sleep, reception informed us our hotel would be open on the 26 June. In the morning first thing went down to reception after having hardly no sleep due to the aircon wasn't working. Spoke with manger he moved us room that day and the room was no better than the first one. Unfortunately the elysee hotel was rubbish there was no entertainment at all, our air conditioning in the room didn't work, we complained and although the receptionist was very helpful. We had enough of this hotel So we decide to get a taxi to are original hotel we had book on arrival the room was great and much more spacious so we thought we had made the right decision to move until again there was no entertainment, no ice lollies very little food for the first few days, 5 cats sitting on tables at meal times, kids club was closed permantly, the slide was only on for a few hours a day. Up beside the kids club there were very badly treated rabbits and pigeons kept in a tiny hutch, more upset when my friends daughter saw this. The food was disgusting and we had to eat out most night which we hadn't budgeted for. The list goes on so i will detail it below!||1) hotel closed||2) 3 nights entertainment in 2 weeks||3) lights switched of at 11pm and forced to go to bed or out after this time||4) child had a poo in pool, when we told management he said leave it till 6??? So another day we couldn't get in the pool||5) manager was rude and when we complained he said we could have a full refund as he was sick of us English people complaining||6) 2nd week hotel was full of Turkish people without wristbands who were given preferential treatment ||7) no tables left at meal times ||8) the toaster wasn't working so couldn't have toast and very dangerous for children and adults ||9) plug sockets hanging off the walls||10) hole in the shower floor flooding are bathroom ||11) dead animals next to kids club in cages||||When I took my complaints to the manger he wasn't interested in the slightest so I had no choice to complain to on the beach for the second time on my holiday. The day we was leaving to come home the manger of the hotel said to me and are friends he couldn't wait for us to leaving due to all the complaints we had made and are holiday reps had been in touch with them. He was rude and arrogant to me for the 4 days of my holiday and told me to get out of his hotel he had had enough of my complaints and I can have a full refund and get out of his hotel. I can only describe as the worse two weeks off my life! My holiday started on the plain...

So we arrived no one could understand english! We booked two family rooms after about 15 minutes we got our rooms there was two single beds in one room with air con and then a pull out bed in the lounge which had no air con! So we had to push the singles together and share with our two kids, we didn’t get offered water or anything the lift was tiny could just fit the buggy in! The food was a disgrace! Literally nothing to eat! They even used dinner time foods for the following day which tasted gross! We had chips once while we was there for the whole time! Desserts well there was nothing for the kids not even ice cream! You had to pay for ice creams during the day! My kids literally lived on bread the whole time! When the cleaners cleaned the rooms they where good but the odd time we had to keep going to reception to ask for clean towels and more loo roll! WiFi well they might as well not even do WiFi! It never worked! The kids play area was unacceptable there was cat poo all in the sand so kids couldn’t even use the slide! The water slides turned off at 12 then came on again at 1.45 then turned off again at 4! There was aunts everywhere which isn’t nice if you want to lay on a sun lounger or put your drinks on the table as the aunts would be on you and your drinks! Drinks stopped at 11pm which is fine but when you order at 10.50 and they stop your order half way through and refuse to give you a sprite to 4 year old that’s not fair! All they kept saying was I can’t manager! So I spoke to the manager and he said no it’s gone 11 so I explained we was ordering our drinks before 11!! All I want is a sprite for my son and he said no unless you pay extra so I answer how does that work?! Your willing to give me a sprite for my son if I pay extra even though I have paid all inclusive?! And all he answered was speak to the reception in the morning! And walked off after I had lost it with him! Anyways he disappeared and a very nice bar staff gave me a sprite when the manager disappeared which then the manager came back and he got into trouble! Absolutely disgusting!! Overall the hotel wasn’t great! They need new managers!!!! But the staff where absolutely lovely!! If it wasn’t for the staff I don’t think we would of made it through the holiday! There was no entertainment at all!! And while your drinking in the evenings they would just turn all the lights off so you have to drink in the dark! We decided to take out drinks to the room so kids could sleep but then the reception stopped us and said no drinks aloud! STUPID! Overall hotel needs new mangerment!
