This is one of the Stopover hotels with Turkish Airline. We were in Istanbul for a week, the last week of Sep and our initial stop was at this Property. The lady at the front desk was one of the most unwelcoming/unfriendly we have seen in a while and based on our interaction seemed very miserable at the job.
Around 1:30AM the 1st night, someone attempted to open the room door which held due to the security lock in place. Immediately called the front desk and they said someone would come up to check. No one showed up and rest of our night was ruined. Next morning reported to the front desk and the two gentlemen there didn't show much interest other than indicate that they would review the security tape and share the findings with us. On our return late that evening, the same miserable lady who had checked us in the previous day seemed clueless when asked about the incident and the security footage review. She didn't seem interested in doing anything and even when pushed refused to talk with her manager to get us details eventually giving us the same boilerplate response that she will review the security footage and get back. After another nervous night we moved out and checked into another hotel nearby not to mention that the hotel staff had still not shared why or who had opened the room. Since the doors are electronically keyed in, our feeling was that the front desk issued a duplicate key to someone or someone from their staff tried to enter.
On a positive note, the staff at the breakfast area was very courteous and helpful and so was the concierge who shared some good food/travel info in that area. The hotel is around 5-7 mins to the train station but so are other hotels in this area.
Heads up... do not use the hotel desk to book Taxi rides to/from the airport. Their prices are much higher than what you would pay otherwise. Also DO NOT consider the SPA at this property. It is disgusting what is being run as a SPA. The room we were put in had a very noisy AC which was slow to cool.
Do not recommend...

And 10 mins to the Marina where there is plenty of fine dining. This area is a great base to visit many attractions such as the Grand Bizaar which is about $15 and a 15 min Uber ride. The hotel in general is above average but I did see places for improvement to get the deluxe recommendation it shows. Firstly there is no Irish Pub on the property and although there is a lobby bar and restaurant, it has limited food service, and if you did not know, it always seems closed. I tried several options, including the club sandwich, chicken sandwich, and the salads. They are all well presented and very good. The cost was excellent, and the service was excellent. Breakfast was free with my rate and was available for several hours in the morning so no need to rush down from 6 to 9. Breakfast was also excellent, with many options available and an omelet chef. My only real negative was the room, which had a large crack in the window, shower did not drain and mini bar fridge was so small you could not use it for your own items without removing the items and replacing every day. But that was just one room on the ground floor, so maybe there are better rooms up in the tower. My room was paid for by the hospital doing my medical tourism, so maybe it's negotiated to a cheaper room. Down a level is the pool, steam, sauna, and gym open from 10 till 11p. All are included in the hotel rate. I would assign this hotel a good 4 out of 5 stars 🌟 for location along with rate and breakfast. More reviews at #realtysharpe,...
Read moreI stayed at the hotel recently. I will write an honest review. The location of the hotel is not very convenient. To cross the street you need to run across flower beds. The traffic from several intersecting roads is crazy 😟 I had an unpleasant situation in the hotel itself. I needed to exchange euros for local lira. The receptionist girl named Hatice underpaid about 25 lira. When I recounted and asked why there was not enough, she indignantly replied that she did not have small change. I think this is unacceptable in a 5-star hotel 😡. She did not even apologize or warn me in advance about the shortage, but simply said that if you are not satisfied, we can cancel the transaction.
Spa: It is obvious that the premises need renovation, especially the steam room. On the positive side, there is a gym. The massages therapist from Thailand are great and know their stuff 👍
Breakfasts: Quite a varied menu. There are nuances in the organization of the staff. On the first day there were no plates for muesli, I had to ask. On the second day there were no cups for tea, I had to ask again. At the same time, the waitresses stand aside and do nothing. The wait for an omelet or fried eggs is also long. It is obvious that the guy has been working there for a short time and is not even able to turn the eggs, very inept and slow.
Room cleaning: One day they didn't give me water or tea, I had to ask 🙁. It was clear that the room had been cleaned. Overall, the room cleaning was good 👍
Restaurant and roomservice: from the good: the restaurant staff in the lobby on the 0th floor is friendly and clear. The room service was also pleasing. Tasty menu,...
