-The structure of the hotel is not one chunky building but rather small buildings, which look like villas spread out around the campus and that helps to feel the nature even more. The campus is very green and respectful of nature. All you hear is birds and crickets. -They are also very cat friendly regarding the stray cats in Turkiye. There are many little cat houses and feeding points around the campus. -I cannot begin to describe the food. That is a whole other level. Anything we taste amazed us. It is obvious that the ingredients are of high quality (and locally sourced as I saw from a few products) and the chefs are at the top of their game. Food was the highest point of our holiday among other amazing points. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, deserts, everything was amazing. I could eat those simits like thousands at a time. We tried one a la carte restaurant (People’s – the only one included in all inclusive. Others are subject to additional cost) for dinner once. It was also nice but the open buffet was so amazing and changing every day that we wanted to stick to it for the remaining days. -There were really nice concerts in the evening. Not like “hotel activities”; real concerts and parties with local djs/bands on a proper stage. We enjoyed them a lot. All the employees were very helpful, friendly and cheerful. They seemed like they love what they do and care about you. They were all doing great jobs under that heat. -All the facility was spotless. Cleaning is very well taken care of which makes to feel very comfortable and assured. There were very nice sport activities that aren’t mentioned on the website. I would pack my sportswear (which I almost did) if I knew. -There is complementary boat tours almost every day for about half a day which is very thoughtful as it is a necessity when in Aegean especially in Gocek. Drinks are not b brands. I mostly drank wine in the evening and it was a very well known niche Turkish brand. -The sea and the beach were amazing. There is always availability. There is one restaurant a little bit up in the woods (Azur - within all inclusive) we tried once which is also very nice but we wanted to continue with the lahmacun, salad and ayran combo on the beach food court for the remaining days (as we missed them so much). -Adult friendly (+13) concept was a huge plus for us and made the holiday very relaxing. -On the last day, we got a hamam package from the spa (additional cost for the service. Daily hamam use is within all inclusive) and it was dreamy (quite literally as I almost fell into sleep).
There are some negative points as well from my point of view which are not deal breakers but details that couldn’t live up to my expectations about Rixos brand in general. -There were no decaf coffee (and unfortunately I can only drink decaf as the regular coffee ruins my whole day), even in Starbucks on the campus. There is only instant coffee which I wouldn’t drink and doesn’t say Rixos. -There was no body lotion in the room. I would generally pack one and always regret because I always find in the room (even in the smallest hotels). This time I thought Rixos would have a nice brand of lotion but disappointed. I asked reception for it but I think they forgot. Then I told this to guest relations (as they are asking how it is going everyday). However it was in my room the last day. -I swim with these foam things mostly. Of course I didn’t pack one as it is very easy to find. I asked reception, pool bar, etc but they had none so I had to go the city center (not far btw). I expected that they either have a few for the customers in the facility somewhere or they would get when asked as they cost almost nothing. -I would expect better sun protection on the beach. Some beach facilities put additional fabrics on the parasols to cover from where the sun is coming.
As I said, the negative points are only details and doesn’t effect the overall elegant, relaxing, royal experience. I would highly recommend and definitely go again. Huge thanks to all the employees who are making this a...
Read moreWe booked for a week long stay with our teenage children in a "friends suite" which worked perfectly. 2 rooms, which could be shut off from each other, one with decent sized twin beds and one with a queen size bed, both rooms had their own shower rooms. The hotel operates a WhatsApp system for contacting guest services, which worked very well. The hotel is in a beautiful setting with lots of lush green planting around the resort. On-site restaurants were very good. This was our first All Inclusive holiday for a long time as we dont generally enjoy these types of holidays, but reviews for the Rixos were so good we thought we'd give it a try, especially as we were holidaying with our teenage son and it really didn't disappoint! We ate at Turquoise the buffet style restaurant on 2 nights, lots of choice, food well presented and constantly being replenished. We also ate at People Restaurant on 2 nights, you need to book but it is included in the all inclusive package. We also took the offer and booked the Italian Restaurant, Fish Restaurant and the Teppanyaki Restaurant which were all well worth it. We tended to lunch at the People's Restaurant which offered a good lunch menu and was available for food throughout the night as well apparently. There were 2 swimming pools, a larger salt water pool(1.4m depth), and a smaller chlorinated pool. There was never a shortage of sun beds around the pool. The pool bar staff were very attentive and were always there to bring you something to cool you down. The was also a lovely shady shallow (40cm) pool with low chairs & tables in for you to cool down and enjoy a drink. We ventured to the private beach one day accessed via a shuttle boat service which was lovely, again staff at the beach very attentive in making sure you were never without a drink. There was a lovely breeze at the beach and it really was an idyllic setting. The Beach restaurant was great for lunch with kebabs and salad freshly prepared., we only went on 1 day as we're not really beach people. Gocek town is lovely and a very short walk 5-10 minutes) along the marina from the hotel, which was a nice walk in the evening when it had cooled down a bit! Musical entertainment was provided every night with a good selection of different acts, who generally covered a range of musical genres, there were only a couple of nights where it really wasn't our taste but we still enjoyed the evening watching everyone else joining in. Staff in the evening bar were again very attentive, remembering our drinks order with table service we never had to wait for refreshments. We also took advantage of the 3hr complimentary boat trip to different swimming areas offered by the hotel, again with refreshments provided on board. We were in 2 minds about going on the trip as we had arranged it for our last day before flying home but it was really nice and we all agreed we were gald we did. A super cool breeze and our teenagers enjoyed the swimming locations. It was also our first stay in an adults (agec13+) resort which I have to say all of us really appreciated. All in all a fabulous stay in a perfect location and we all agreed we would definitely come back! We are also very tempted to try the other Rixos resorts...
Read moreThis was our first experience with an all inclusive hotel, but unfortunately it was a bad experience. What we liked: the meeting was wonderful, the registration was excellent. the staff is very helpful and friendly, I did not meet anyone from the Russian-speaking staff, they speak a little English, although we expected more for such a hotel. the territory is large, well-groomed, beautiful the pool is wonderful, the gym and additional classes will definitely be interesting. What did not like: People's restaurant was like being in a Fast food restaurant for us. If you eat a healthy and normal diet, it will be very difficult to find food. We ordered green salad and caesar, caesar was impossible to eat, the dressing was disgusting and the lettuce was floating in the sauce. The burgers were terrible, they destroyed the meat, the buns were the cheapest quality and it was impossible to eat, MacD is the best by comparison. In short, we left hungry and disappointed. accommodation in a room, the rooms look good, but showers, mirrors, mold, the smell from the shower is a nightmare. the staff tried to do everything so that we still stay and provided us with another number in the category above, but it was the same. the mattress for us was impossibly soft, you simply fall through. We asked to change it to a hard mattress, but either they forgot or they simply don't have them. In short, we did not get enough sleep at all and the desire was to leave the hotel as soon as possible. pool, be prepared, you won't see cocktails on Instagram, they serve them only where the villas are. Poolside you will get a cheap version. Aperol Spritz was the only cocktail you could drink. The fruits by the pool are rotten and tasteless, although this is the season, apparently they also save on fruits. the pool bar closes at 18.00 we did not understand at all why you will not get drinks so early and more. Due to the lack of staff at the pool, don't be surprised to find dirty glasses and fries on the sun loungers. your dinner will also be fixed, you can have dinner at 19.00 or at 20.45, then it can be problematic. Only one restaurant is open 24 hours People, but if you are a Fast food lover. normal food only a la card plus you have to pay an additional 25 € per person. we did not get to the beach, as we were completely disappointed. breakfast was ok, standard nothing special. It was funny my spouse ordered Detox juice at 9 am, we returned for breakfast at 10 and wanted to order the same juice, but they told us there was no orange juice and that's all, and at the same time they were firmly anticipated that in nature they do not have detox juice, it was funny ... Let me remind you this is a 5 star hotel, funny! Value for money, we did not find it in this hotel and checked out the next day. The hotel was probably attractive, probably 10 years ago, but after that time they did not make any repairs inside, at least not noticeably. The staff really tried to keep us, but for the money it was unacceptable for us to live in such a room, to eat fast food. We will definitely...
