Stayed: 25th July 2025|Room Type: Family room with sea view|Length of Stay: 2 weeks||Overall:|We had a very pleasant stay — the hotel is on the smaller side, well kept, the staff are generally welcoming, there’s lots of cute stray cats and the views are stunning||What I Liked:||•Comfort: The family room was wonderfully spacious and perfect for a comfortable stay. The bathroom although small functioned well and the water temperature and pressure was adequate toilet rolls and towels were replenished daily. There was a wardrobe just outside the bathroom with 6 hangers. The main bedroom had a king-size bed with two bedside tables, a dressing table, a storage shelf, and a wardrobe with six hangers. It even had its own small balcony. The living area was equally well-equipped, with a sofa bed, two armchairs, a coffee table, another dressing table, two storage shelves, a mini fridge, and a TV. This space opened onto a large balcony with a small table, three chairs, and handy poles for drying clothes in the sun. Just off the living area was the second sleeping space, with two single beds and two bedside tables. Every area had excellent blackout curtains that kept the rooms beautifully dark for a great night’s sleep, and the air conditioning was wonderfully efficient – a real blessing after a warm day.||•Cleanliness: accommodation and bathroom were kept clean and fresh and could be cleaned upon request. ||•Service: Check-in was quick and smooth. Front desk staff welcomed us upon arrival (at 3:30am) gave us a food package and drink each and showed us to our room. They were helpful when we needed information or taxi service. ||Bar staff/waiting staff are young and know very little English however they work very hard to please you and remembered our drinks order when at the bar. ||Mustafa the Animation manger was a professional at his job and worked hard to keep us entertained with activities and music throughout our stay. ||Chefs were outstanding and provided great fresh food at every meal time. ||•Food options: There was a good variety of dishes at each mealtime, served buffet-style, which I found more than adequate. I’m not a fussy eater and enjoy trying new foods, so I was happy with the selection. That said, it might not suit everyone – if you’re expecting a wide range of traditional English options, you won’t find them here.||Timings- |Bar 10-11pm (strict)|Breakfast 7:30-10am|Lunch 12:30-2pm|Pool snacks 3:30-5pm|Cookies 5-6pm|Dinner 7:30-9:30pm||Each meal time along with the buffet in the restaurant area there was fresh food prepared on the grill outside.|breakfast: eggs, omelettes, pancakes all delicious and cooked while you wait. ||Lunch: fresh baked Pide||Pool snacks: (different each day) burger & chips, hot dog & wedges, nuggets & onion rings , spaghetti with fresh tomato sauce & croquet potatoes. ||Cookies: a selection of baked biscuits sweet and savoury and 2 different cakes. ||Dinner: (different each day) fish, chicken donner, Kofte kebab, chicken breast. ||•Animation : For the first four days of our holiday, there was no entertainment. When I spoke with the animation manager, Mustafa – who is a brilliant compere- he explained that he was in the process of recruiting a new team. Once everything was in place, the schedule ran daily as follows 11 a.m. darts, 3 p.m. water polo or sand art for the children, and on one day, a brilliant pool treasure hunt. Thursday afternoons featured a foam party, which was so much fun for all ages. Evenings were lively, starting with a DJ at 8 p.m., followed by 9:30 p.m. events such as bingo, dance shows, acrobatic performances, music quizzes, and other guest participation games. ||•The pool: lovely and not too deep, making it perfect for a relaxing swim early morning or fun pool games by the afternoon. Pool floats are welcome, which added to the fun, and the regular supply of fresh pool towels throughout the day was a great.||•Location: The view was absolutely stunning and, for me, the main highlight of this hotel. It’s only about a 15-minute downhill walk to the marina or town beach, but it’s even easier to hop on the dolmuş for 25 TL or take a taxi for 200–300 TL. Both options are just a 3–4 minute walk from the hotel, right outside the hospital. Getting into Centrum (the town centre) was simple, but the return trip was trickier due to the road layout – a taxi is definitely the easiest way back. While you can take the dolmuş back it’s a much longer journey than the trip down.||What Could Be Better:||•Hotel information including Animation schedule, I really enjoyed the interaction and joining in with selected activities I just wish there was more- there are lots of other opportunities for the animation team to rally the guests to join in and they should expand the pool games, pool dances, and sport activities. This could be done if the hotel improved the games area so it could be better utilised. Currently it has 1 dart board and 2 table tennis tables. Equipment has to be obtained through the animation team but they aren’t always on site, and timings for this area was very confusing as at first we was allowed access to all up until 11pm but this changed a short time into our stay and it was restricted to certain times for certain activities, and darts wasn’t allowed outside of animation darts game at 11am. The area itself is spacious enough to accommodate two dartboards, two table tennis tables, and could benefit from adding a pool table or even a penalty shootout setup. These additions would provide great entertainment for teens and adults alike and give the animation team more ways to engage guests.||•Drinks Menu/service- The drink options at the bar were quite limited, which was expected, but since there was no menu or list displayed, it wasn’t always clear what was available. Also, drinks served outside of meal times came in very small disposable plastic cups, whereas during meals you could enjoy your drink in a proper glass. It would be great if the bar offered a clearer menu and bigger cups throughout the day.||•Ice cream, it would have been lovely to have this included with the all inclusive package. ||•Hotel is slightly dated and outdoor seating area isn’t big enough for all guests during busy times. ||•The beds are very hard, especially the single beds |||Tips for guests: ||•Drinks available- Effes, red white rose wine, vodka, gin, Pepsi, sprite, fanta, tonic, they will also make cocktails with syrup flavourings. None of these were named so it was hit and miss with what you got. ||Other drinks including ice tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water, and dilute juices apple, orange, cherry, pineapple, are self serve from 3 different vending areas.||•If possible, request a sea view room with a large balcony — we had a fantastic room with stunning views. Smaller room options may come with either a tiny balcony or a larger one, so it’s worth asking. The hotel has two lifts, each holding just three people, so if you’re on a higher floor, be prepared for longer wait times. We found the third floor, where the lobby and reception are located, to be ideal. Avoid rooms facing the main road, as they have a dull view. The hotel is willing to swap rooms if availability allows, so don’t hesitate to ask!||•There’s a fantastic little shop right on site that has almost everything you might need—pool floats, drinks, snacks, ice cream, souvenirs, clothes, and more. It’s super convenient for grabbing essentials or a few treats without having to leave the hotel. They can charge in Tl GBP Euro and take card payments. ||•Pool towels are plentiful and so are room towels so you don’t really need to bring any along on your trip.. we would keep the ones from the day before and swap them when fresh came out at 9am and 2pm | ||Would I Stay Again?|Probably not, not because I didn’t enjoy our stay, we really did make the most of our holiday and what we got for the price was great but for a family with young teens and adults there really isn’t much to do on site...
Read moreI recently stayed at City’s Hill Hotel in Kuşadası and came away with mixed feelings — there were some truly wonderful parts of the stay, but unfortunately, one major issue overshadowed it all.|The hotel is perched on a hilltop, offering stunning views of the Aegean Sea. It’s a beautiful setting and gives the impression of a peaceful escape but sadly, it wasn’t quiet at all.|The main issue was the constant loud music around the pool. It was relentless and far too loud for a hotel setting. I complained several times and even ended up in tears in the manager’s office telling him I was planning on moving to another hotel He was kind and took action when present, but the moment he walked away, the man in charge of entertainment Mustafa turned the volume right back up. He acted like he was DJ in a club in Ibiza, blasting an odd mix of Queen, Turkish pop, and mediocre covers. It completely spoiled what should have been relaxing poolside time. Even trying to listen to your own music or podcast was impossible due to the noise level.|The evening entertainment seemed to go down well with other guests and the music could be loud but I didn’t mind that as it was the evening time and music would finish at 11.|Although the hotel is up in the hills (which you’d think would mean peace and quiet), it’s not tranquil at all, and it’s also isolated there’s nothing within walking distance, so you need to take a taxi for everything: town, beach, shops, or restaurants.|That said, the hotel had some lovely staff and great touches.||• Orhan, the omelette chef, was a joy each morning always smiling and happy to make omelettes, pancakes, or eggs to order.|• Cemre, who worked on the outdoor grill in the afternoons and some evenings, was an absolute delight cheerful, helpful, and couldn’t do enough for you.|• Mustafa, the bar manager, not the entertainment guy was excellent at his job always professional, friendly, and made sure guests and his staff were looked after well.|• A huge shout-out to the bar staff Arda, Tugana, Emre, Numan, and Cennet — all hardworking, kind, and welcoming.|• The staff at reception were amazing and so helpful, check in and out was fast and efficient. They will order taxis for you.|• Housekeeping was first class|• The staff in the onsite shop were extremely friendly and helpful and the shop is open until 1am.|The spa experience was another major highlight. In my first week, I had two massages, a Turkish bath, and a face mask and I felt like a new woman afterwards. The Turkish lady working in the spa was incredible skilled, kind, and attentive and the Spa itself is beautiful clean and relaxing and very quiet only gentle soothing music.|Sadly, the spa was also managed by the same entertainment guy Mustafa. One day, after feeling unwell due to the loud music, I asked to reschedule a massage. Instead of being understanding, he rudely told me to come back at 4pm making the appointment for me without asking if it suited me even though I was clearly unwell. After that, he ignored me completely. I had planned to spend another €120 in the spa, but didn’t return because of how uncomfortable that made me feel. I also noticed that this man would eat and leave his dirty dishes for the other staff to clear when guests were always clearing their own and using the trolley left there to do so. This man was just plain rude and ruined my whole experience.|Rooms were clean, air conditioning worked well, and housekeeping was consistent. The food was decent for an all-inclusive, though repetitive after a few days but the outside grill was always fresh and hot.|Overall, the hotel was great value for money, especially given the views, spa, and warm staff but sadly, the overpowering music spoiled it for me. I came hoping for a relaxing holiday, but the noise and inflexibility from certain staff made that impossible. For that reason, I won’t be returning to this hotel on my next visit...
Read moreI arrived at 07.00, my room wasn't ready but I did get to put my case away securely and told that breakfast was being served. After a couple of hours I got to my room which was located on the front but I didn't mind that and it was adequate for my needs. So I spent my first day chilling out by the pool. Now let's get down to it. Firstly the food is rank. If you think your getting a full English breakfast, forget it. Closest thing you will get is a boiled egg. There are omelettes freshly made outside but that's where the story end's. If you are able to live on cheese 🧀 and salad for a week or 2, you will be fine. Food is definitely catered for the European tourist not the English. Drinks, not everything is all-inclusive. Bottled beer, named shorts ect are all charged at ridiculous high prices depending which part of England your from (Bottle of Carlsberg £5.50 or 200 lira) Be very careful of the hotel rep, he is a constant pain in the arse. He will most probably grab you on the 2nd day for a meeting and try to pressure you into over priced excursions which you can get much cheaper going in to town. The entertainment isn't brilliant and play the same 20 songs over and over. Highlight of my week was the foam party. Night-time is very boring with piano background music, some karaoke 🎤 or Turkish music with loads of Muslims doing there thing. Sunbeds are plentiful with free towels. Bar staff are ok and the manager is friendly. My room was cleaned every day so no complaints there. Due to the Turkish economy I promise you that everywhere you go they will do everything to rip you of and empty you wallet or purse, especially in bar's and restaurants. Always ask the price beforehand and take a picture of the menu. Watch out for the extra things they put on your table like water and bread sticks because you WILL get charged even though you didn't ask for them. I guarantee you will get loads of hassle in town to buy expensive fake clothes ect, if you refuse the owners get the arse with you and start shouting. Taxis will also rip you of aswell as will the local shop round the corner. The views from the hotel are amazing and you can see the harbour and the mountainside. Lastly they will try and get you to do a positive review in front of them, play the game then change it when you get home 🏡. Would I come back? No Would I come back to Turkey? No, it's no longer a cheap...
