We booked this hotel based on their advertised 5 star hotel and positive reviews. We arrived late at night and were soon booked in. The first issue was that the lifts were out of order and so our bags had to be carried up two flights of stairs by a helpful staff member. The lifts remained out of order during the duration of our stay.||We then took a shower but there was no hot water. Because it was late we didn't raise this until the following morning. We were told that an engineer would come to our room in half an hour. He didn't come all day. We had a cold shower again on the second day.||Meanwhile, they do supply wifi, but that was sporadic at best. It kept disconnecting at intervals between 2 minutes and 20 minutes. To reconnect, you had to enter your passport number. This worked for me, but my partner got an error stopping him from reconnecting. Despite raising this issue several times with the staff the issue remained for the whole 5 days of our stay and meant we couldn't make wifi calls as we would get cut off at random intervals. ||On the third day we again raised the issue of the lack of hot water and were told it was being fixed but again, after a day out we had cold showers on our return. ||On the fourth day we spoke to the reception staff again and were told an engineer would be with us within half an our. While we waited, we had yet another cold shower. The engineer arrived and looked at the plumbing in our room (as if that would make a difference!). ||We had a long conversation with the staff and expressed our frustrations, and they offered us an upgrade to a different room. As we did not want to pack up all our stuff and move for the remaining 36 hours, we declined. Why could they not have done this on day 2 or 3? Our position was that the hotel is advertised as a 5 star hotel, the actual experience of limited or no wifi, no hot water, no lifts, no real cups or spoons in the room to make tea of coffee and no glasses (although there were paper cups in the room), all of this would not do justice to a 2 star hotel. We were paying premium prices for a very sub par deal. Our suggestion was a discount of say 20% on what we paid, but that was rejected outright. They offered to refund one days rate if we left a day early, hardly a magnanimous gesture and certainly useless to any international traveller with multiple flights and accommodation bookings in a holiday itinerary. No offer to compensate us for our lack of basic amenities during our stay was made other than an upgraded room for our last 36 hours (we had grave doubt that this would make any difference). The management did not bother to reach out to us to talk about the basic failings and simply left it to staff with no authority to make compensation to deal with. ||In conclusion the staff on duty were amazing, very friendly and accommodating but unfortunately this did not compensate for the issues we experienced during our 5 day stay. The hotel are charging 5 star rates for a 1 star experience and my recommendation is to avoid this hotel until they drop their prices by half and a lot of basic maintenance is carried out to the fabric of...

Read moreLike most of our accommodations in Turkiye, this hotel is overrated - definitely not worthy of 4.5 stars!! ||Our room was super generous with a great sea view. However, it overlooked unkept gardens and (former) pool area full of junk. The furniture & floors need upgrading & bathroom is in need of good maintenance. Internet was patchy, we had tea/coffee making facilities but had 2 paper cups instead of cups one would expect in a 4-star hotel. We didn't even have glasses! ||The one lift in the hotel wasn't operating so our heavy luggage had to be dragged up the stairs. Our phone had no dialling tone and no one attended to it, despite us bringing it to the attention of staff.||We returned to our hotel following a long day of sightseeing to an unmade room; we had to go down to reception and ask for our room to be cleaned (as room phone was not working). A few minutes later, a female staff member attended our room to remove the previous night's food trays and only gave us fresh towels after I requested them. ||As there were only the 2 of us staying in the hotel, we were offered a set menu which was really good and very generous.||The nail in the coffin came just before we left, when the guy manning reception urged us to give a 5 star rating on...
